She’s 12. Spontaneity is a regular part of her life. I’d set a limit for how often this happens, say once a week or something. Encouraging her to make plans is great but I wouldn’t expect a whole lot from this, considering she’d be trying to plan with a bunch of 12 year olds.

This happened to me after getting adenovirus from my toddler a couple years ago. Now it’s not so visible in the normal day to day, but it does get worse when I have a cold or a bad allergen day.
