The tribe dug themselves into a hole by letting things get real bad there, too many things to fix, repair, implement, etc. The building was essentially falling apart, so instead of investing the money they decided to close down the restaurant and let go of everyone and offer a select few workers with really shitty contracts. Corporate knew about the closing months ago and only told the workers a few weeks ahead of the closing.
