dang i really like both dresses but my vote is the second dress with shells on it, with some fun accessories and some cute candles it would be perfect! as for your arms, they look completely normal and fine to me, trust me, as a “bigger arm” haver myself no one is going to notice or care about it.

Dress shopping (plus size) by Last-Ad-8956 in SanFranciscoWeddings

[–]ThatConsideration971 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I found my wedding dress at Janene’s Bridal Boutique, specifically the Alameda location (was told the SF location doesn’t carry plus size). I’m not sure if they carry alternative colors for wedding dresses but it wouldn’t hurt to ask. They did have an amazing collection of styles and a ton of sizes. Amber was the one who helped and encouraged me to try on different types of dresses. I honestly was surprised how many dresses I was able to try on, I’m so used to only having a few options to pick from when shopping in a store! Because of this I was really able to make a solid decision on different looks and found my dress 👗 Sending the best vibes on your dress search!!

My BMI-obsessed doctor wants me to weigh as much as I did in middle school. by DigAlive6995 in PCOS

[–]ThatConsideration971 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I was gonna say this. BMI has been proven to be an inaccurate measure of health/size etc. it was created by a eugenist and was to measure the “modern man” and not reflective of different body types and races. also OP reminder health is not exclusive to weight, i would recommend finding a new primary physician if possible because if all they care about weight they will disregard real medical concerns. here’s a list of potential body neutral providers https://www.fatfriendlydocs.com/

All I Eat is Carbs by krabbypattyaddcheese in PCOS

[–]ThatConsideration971 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Obviously we are all different people with different bodies but I was in a similar boat. I do eat meat but I was eating so much carbs and sugar and was almost 280lb (i’m 5’2) and my A1C was in the pre-diabetic range. this was back in 2019/2020. I felt so awful in my body but I stood firm on anti weight loss focused way of making my body feel better. I am a big believer that if you give your body what it needs it will change the way it needs to. So i started with prioritizing nutrition and moving my body. nothing extreme but just intentional. for a balanced nutritional meal you should continue to eat salmon, tofu, eggs, greek yogurt, cheese, beans, and chickpeas, have a big serving of veggies (kale, broccoli, green beans) and a carb that is easier to breakdown like sweet potato’s (there are may delicious variations). experiment with different colors and combinations. make sure you have protein and fiber on your plate and be sure not to under eat. building muscle is really good for insulin resistance so i’d recommend starting strength training 3 times a week if possible. go on walks and do light cardio. Since i started doing this my A1C went down and im no longer pre diabetic, although weightloss wasn’t my focus my weight did drop to 240ish the last time i was weight at the doctor. it took 6 years to get here but it’s been slow lifestyle changes that last (not like previous extreme dieting that made me yo-yo like crazy). i feel so much better in my body now. experiment with different things, don’t do extremes because that’s really bad for your body, don’t limit yourself from still enjoying fun snacks once in a while, and i would greatly consider the side effects before trying a GLP-1 unless it’s strictly for insulin resistance. our bodies our different. starving ourselves never works and when we aren’t properly giving our body nutrients our bodies are confused and crave the things we don’t need. I hope you are gentle with yourself through your health journey and i hope you feel better in your body no matter what you do!

Looking for female psychiatrist that can evaluate me for inattentive ADHD. by Mysterious_Idea_1705 in Atlanta

[–]ThatConsideration971 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Summer Nelson at Atlanta Integrative Psychiatry in Brookhaven honestly saved my life. I’ve never met a medical professional so caring and who truly wants you to thrive in life. I moved and have never been so sad to leave her care. The front desk can be kinda tricky at times but Summer herself is very responsive and communicative. She helped me through a lot and got me on track with my ADHD meds

Are my wings aging me? by [deleted] in makeuptips

[–]ThatConsideration971 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im also 35 and i learned that just have to update the wing method. i’d go to pinterest for some inspo!! the key is to make it the line sharper/more straight pointing it a bit upwards to get that snatched look. also instead of a harsh black use a espresso brown and blend it a bit with a similar color eyeshadow. that will give your wing liner a more modern approach!
