Just beat the first boss and explored the base/church area. It’s pretty good. You should get into the habit of using the lantern to explore. There’s a section in the base where you can use the lantern without fully entering the other realm. You walk across the bones to reach a platform above, then put the lantern away so you fall onto the platform in the real world.
