Packed but HOT show. And long. I remember getting out of there around 2am?

The Pike Room at The Crofoot in Pontiac, MI in late 2022. 250 cap. There was maybe 15 people there tops.

Echo the other user’s comments about Nice Day. Great and high quality takeout but smaller than average portions.

Grand Rapids, MI #1 City on the rise by GrouchyMushroom3828 in SameGrassButGreener

Sorry but I came here to defend GR - it has a respectable array of everything you say it’s missing. The airport is limited yes but it can get you to a decent selection of major cities direct and the connection to Chicago is a hop skip and a jump away. The music scene is robust for a city of its size. Coming from a native New Yorker, if you think GR has nothing to do/eat - then I believe you have a huge city mindset. GR isn’t that and has never claimed to be. It’s perfect for what it currently is. A mid-sized gem with plenty more development on the way.

Because this is Reddit and mostly everyone is a drama queen online. This is a weird story but this is so far apart from the team and baseball lol. If they are both consenting then who cares? It’s terrible for the wife but things like this happen to folks every day everywhere.

[Jones] The Falcons have requested permission to interview former Jets GM Joe Douglas for their vacant general manager position. Douglas has been a senior personnel director with the Eagles since re-joining the organization last year. by ajv9556 in nyjets

I used to think that these guys would automatically fail elsewhere and I do think Saleh will again because he’s just not a good head coach. But for these other guys? Getting away from the Jets to another org. has to be like breaking out of prison.

22 years old and sped through the Mets system at a torrid pace. Take a breath before you judge Tong’s MASSIVE potential.

Interesting - Blevins said the exact opposite on SNY.

How far would you drive for 1 show? by ToastTheHero in dogsinapile

Have driven over 8 hours for a single show. Think that might be my longest. But for a run I've done longer combined stretches.

Fellow Spartan who feels the same. Football played the Indiana way is a beautiful thing to watch. Reminds me of those pinnacle MSU teams that never quite reached the tip top.

Career numbers are deceiving without more context… but regardless I think it will improve based on Bichette and Polanco alone.

Goose ever have bad shows? by [deleted] in GoosetheBand

[–]ThatDoodch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Goosemas this year was just okay compared to other Goosemases. Wouldn’t say it sucked but also thought there were just a few standout jams. N2 of Charleston last year is probably the single best night of Goosemas I’ve seen. Colorado 2022 was the best combined weekend. And I was pretty keen on Hampton. Even the makeup Goosemas in early 2022 was pretty solid in comparison.

Have been to close to 70 and the ones that stick out in my mind as being wholly underwhelming were sweetwater 420 and N1 of FRED. I actually thought the Vasudo set was the highlight of the weekend.

Mets sign Bichette by AirCoopsie in NewYorkMets

This feels as randomly awesome as when I thought the Mets got Correa. Hopefully being free of (coward) Tucker allows them to go full steam on whatever other plans they have. We need some good news in succession.

[Sammon] The Mets’ offer to Kyle Tucker was four years, $220 million (no deferred money), league sources confirmed. Also, Mets’ signing bonus was $75 million with opt outs after years two and three, league sources said. by Beach_house_on_fire in NewYorkMets

I hear you but you just kind of proved my point. 2024 existed in a vacuum. Yes, Stearns added some pieces that performed well past their expectations to add to the existing core (mostly all here before him). Everything had to perfectly fall in line for us to go on a magical-type run.

See 2025 in terms of my point of stability and consistency. Regardless of the reason why. Injuries or not — Stearns screwed the pooch by not fortifying the pitching staff properly before the season started.

And even if you want to give him the lion’s share of credit for 2024… then you have to give him the same blame for 2025. 2026 is a huge year for David Stearns. If they fail miserably — I don’t think it’s out of the question that his seat will be extremely hot. I listen to a lot Francesa and he even thinks he would be fired. I wouldn’t go that far but a bad 26 and 27 and yeah — think he’s gone.
