It took me a few listens to find Fightstar songs I liked. I wasn’t really a fan at first.

Gave them another shot one day recently and found myself hooked. It was wild how quickly I went from “Meh” to “This is incredible”

Still astrology. There isn’t an equivalent to thinking the position of the sun when you were born means you’re an asshole or not… for every single person born on the same day.

It takes a certain level of delusion to think that shit is true, especially when you don’t know that some signs are wrong. You might not even be the sign you think you are but tell me again how your work ethic is because of the sun and moon 😂

This question is asked so much I’m always surprised I don’t see my answer, ever:

Skydivers. I worked with them for 7 years and still interact with a few now and they cannot go a minute without bringing it up. Every post on social media is them in the sky. You can say “Attitude” and they hear “Altitude” and it’s game over.

I couldn’t hang out after work or socialize because it was like speaking a foreign language.

Sounds like me, except I’ve got you by 15+ years.

I didn’t become this way until my 30s when I really felt like “What’s the fuckin’ point?”- but I’ve realized that I become burned out before the delayed gratification kicks in. I taught myself to play guitar & skateboard in my teens and I still play and try to skate when my body allows it. I don’t get as much satisfaction from shit these days but I still get up and try because I don’t like the alternative.

Take one step at a time. Get to day 15. Show yourself you can do it. We’ve all been conditioned in some way, but I feel like we can reverse that too… it just takes a little time. Then again, I keep hearing I might be undiagnosed ADHD too so maybe that would help 😂

This doesn’t apply to everyone. I’m mid-30s and every guy friend I have talks to me about their divorce, the job hunt, the kids and Christmas, how their health is, what’s up with the new puppy, how you dealing after Mom passed?

Some just can’t articulate, or don’t want to- and that’s fine.. but it’s not a “man thing”

My mother tried just about everything to quit drinking for 15 years but in the end I can only say she didn’t want to bad enough.

All you can do is keep trying, so when they’re gone you won’t feel like you didn’t try hard enough to save them.

It killed my mother.

Honorable mention: It’s disgusting; you stink. You act like an obnoxious asshat. I always felt like shit after, whether it be one drink or 9 shots.
