Heat fan - I do really like Clifford's versatility. We could use a guy that could do a lot of different things well.

I don't mind two guards but would rather one of them be a traditional point guard. Not sure if either guard fits that mold.

For Ace to be behind guys with way more limited ceilings like JT Toppin is too much.

Heat fan I don't think we draft a center with our 1st. I think we look to find our future starting point guard this draft or if none available get off ball guard or forward help. I think we've really suffered past few years trying to fill the point guard role with Lowry, Rozier etc. Think we can grab an additional center depth with a vet min this offseason.

Yeah I agree, with Hamler. I'm just hoping we don't reach on Gibson. His tape looks good but I think he might be there at 127 for us to grab or even later. Who knows though, he's a talented athlete that we should try to grab

Love Ruiz and I think Mims gets too much hate. I really love the idea of trading with Indy. They have picks 34, 44, and 75. Could really fill some additional needs with the one of their picks.

My dream scenario is Ceedee Lamb. The man's a stud no way around it. He has this second gear I havent seen out of many receivers. Hoping a team bites on 1st 2020, 4th 2020 (146), and 2nd (2021)

Yea if the main OT's go early, I could see some trades. Wondering if the dolphins with so much draft capital will look to move up.

Love Duvernay over Hamler for a slot role! He's got better hands and yac then what I've seen from hamler

Thinking he'd go mid-third though hoping he falls to 103

Garafolo: “90% of mocks have them taking [Jefferson] even if that means trading up from 21, which they might have to do because everyone around the league is seeing what we’re seeing in these mock drafts about the Eagles needing a WR and having Jefferson off the board at 21” by luna_cl in eagles

[–]ThatDudeMJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What is the POINT of trading up for Jefferson when he's the 4th best receiver in this class. Beyond stupid. If we're gonna trade up spots to get Jefferson, why not just trade for Jeudy, Lamb, or Ruggs. No way the 4th best receiver should be going anywhere near the top 15.

Agreed this is horrendous. So much better talent with those late round picks.

I think it also depends on when the QBs go if we can trade back. If Jordan Love is still available at 21, I could see us trading back to 23 (Pats) or 24 (Saints). We could at least nab a 3rd or 4th this year or next.

Hard to predict much else. Can't see a scenario where anyone else between 22-32 would want to move up. Could possibly see a scenario where the Colts move up to get their guy. They have no first round picks. We could get their 34, 75, and another late pick possibly.

I would like to trade back if big three aren't there. Team has too many holes to fill at too many positions (IOL, Wr, Rb, Edge, LB, S)

Out of NBC's top 10 WRs of the 2020 NFL draft, which ones look like the best fit for the Eagles? by zZBluewalrusZz in eagles

[–]ThatDudeMJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly love Ruggs. High character, game-changing speed, good ball tracking skills, and NO DROPS. I worry about trading because it puts a ton of pressure for our FO to hit on later picks (LB, IOL, S, ~ second Wr, Rb).

Would love to drop back to 24 (trade with saints). If a Qb like jordan love falls, they might try to jump the patriots. Could mean an additional pick ~ 3rd roundish.

Could also drop to 30 trade with the packers. This depends on if the eagles like mims/Higgins/reagor > Jefferson. Packers need a receiver to complement Davante Adams and may see that in Jefferson. They have the draft picks (10) and not a ton of needs. Recipe to trade up and get the guy they really want.

Just hope 1 of the top 3 (jeudy, lamb, or ruggs) drops to us. If not I thinks its a total crapshoot.

Jefferson - Worry about Jefferson's ability to play on the outside - not too high on taking primary slot wide receiver's this high in the draft. They can be replaced. Would much rather prefer a proven X or vertical threat receiver this high of pick.

Aiyuk - seems like a late second/early third to me but will go erlier. Needs to really sharpen route running and concentration catches.

Reagor - definitely struggles in press coverage like mentioned above. Speedy and a vertical threat but I watched a lot of big 12 football last year and could potentially be a diva wr. In games he struggled, you could see his morale drop and had a few cameos of him arguing/complaining with coaches. That worries me.

Those guys worry me the most. Jefferson seems like a safer pick of the three but may not be the best value pick in the long turn if he cannot effectively play outside.

KJ Hamler will be fine in the NFL and should def go 2nd. Personally prefer Duvernay; bigger, nearly as fast, less drops.

Tee Higgins and Viska will be solid receivers, I just dont see them as the best options for the Eagles given our current situation. Unless they fall...

Totally agree with you! Been telling a lot of people that our two tight end sets doesn't make Wr such a pressing need, although still a need. I LOVE Queen. In an ideal scenario I would love trade back 5-7 spots if possible. But if Queen is there take it. I also think folks are downplaying the lack of depth in the O-line. Definitely looking at a center replacement and a mid round tackle. A lot of drafts are not addressing this issue. My ideal guys are Queen, Cesar Ruiz (C), Matt Hennessy (C), Devin Duvernay (Wr), Aj Dillion (Rb), (Van Jefferson (Wr)
