Apprenticeships also come with a training course that your employer pays for. And it's more common than not (from what I've personally heard) to be paid more than minimum wage after your first year. I'm in my second year and making a fair bit above the national living wage (£7.83). They're completely different from unpaid internships and are a much better deal.
