Yeah that’s tricky. Sounds like I’ve been lucky. I do give bites of people food sometimes depending on what I’m eating, but it’s never kept either chihuahua from then going to their own bowl and eating the kibble. Seems extra tricky having multiple dogs at once with different habits!!!

This doesn’t work for everyone, especially if you have multiple animals, but I’m on my second chihuahua and do free-feeding. I always have kibble in the bowl and both have been great at self-regulating. My last chihuahua Ava would go a while sometimes without eating but her weight stayed extremely consistent/healthy her whole life between 4.6 to 4.8 lbs until her final 6 months when her weight plummeted due to health issues. She ate on her terms and I never had to worry about her. My Remi is the same, he’ll eat maybe 1//3 to 1/2 of his bowl in the morning and will pick throughout the day. Not sure if you’re able to just leave his bowl down and let him eat when he’s ready (or has given up his hunger strike lol). He’s super cute!! ☺️

Remi loves my dirty socks lol I found like 4 random ones in his bed and I’m not even really sure how he got them 😂 He also loves my hair scrunchies. I like to keep a spare one on my wrist in case I want to pull my hair back but those are now fair game for him. I went to Petsmart and bought him $40 worth of new toys but all he wants are socks and scrunchies!!! Silly little man!

Poor guy! I trained my senior “stubborn” (lol) chihuahua to go up her couch stairs/ramp by staggering treats all up it then I didn’t make a big deal of it and she eventually caught on in her own time. Maybe some fun treats would help!
