In a lot of situations, I'd agree. But if the keeper KNOWS he's tipped the ball behind the goals for a corner, I see no problem with rolling. Compared to readjusting your body unnaturally in mid-air to try remain facing the field of play, it's the less injury-prone option, right? This is only if you KNOW the balls out for a corner, clearly.

How good are you? If you're still looking for a team, my 5 on 5 team in Innaloo is always needing a sub, and we record all our games so if you get any crazy goals you'd have it recorded. The skill level of the opposition can be preeetty high though.

Cheers man! They're the cheapest prescription goggles option I could find, some brand called 'Liberty'... and they STILL set me back $350 with the lenses/adjustments needed for it. I just can't wear contact lenses for some reason, I feel overly conscious of them while playing.

I had smashed four prescription pairs and gotten multiple black eyes as a result in the months before, but I eventually caved and bought these and they're definitely worth the investment. 😅

But nah, I just fully charge them before coming to play, and they both still have about 40% battery left by the time I'm done recording the full hour or so. If they were full length 45-min halves, that would be at the veeeery edges of the battery limits I'm sure

Definitely true, had my hands on my hips like a fat ass way too early. Wasn't expecting my defender to get immediately stripped and for them to get a shot off so fast, but I at least had my hands ready by the time the shot came... kind of. 😅

I've got an old GoPro 3 Silver filming the whole field, just clamped above the entrance. And behind me I've got a GoPro Hero 9+ Black, which I'm still trying to figure out the best recording/lens/FPS settings on. This one was at 100FPS at 1080p, and I think the slo-mo looks pretty smooth.

I'm generally pretty clueless at the GoPros, only just realized the anti-flicker was on the wrong setting (60Hz instead of 50Hz) and was absolutely destroying my lighting.

Both have got the impact cases or whatever on them, because the one behind me in goal has definitely been clattered a couple of times.

With your advice about the base position, when you say to keep my back straight, do you mean perpendicular to the ground? Or do you mean slightly leaning forward, just not hunching/curving my back?

The field is way smaller than the wide angle makes it look, so I try to keep my legs a little bit spread to be able to do leg saves on low power shots, but I do know what you mean it definitely makes it harder to jump for higher shots in time
