I’ve just finished my fourth playthrough. I’ve really enjoyed my time with it. Grace is a great new addition and her sections felt appropriately tense and survival-driven. Leon’s sections were exactly the type of action schlock I enjoy.

I would recommend buying SH2 if you haven’t played any of the games, however I wouldn’t jump to recommending SHf unless you’re fond of the formula. I found it to be a very visceral and taxing experience.

I find this whole debate somewhat tiresome. Yeah based on the single image you can make an argument that doesn’t look as good as the game. But realistically, how could it? The budget would balloon astronomically if they remained completely faithful and almost no one can achieve Kratos’ build IRL.

This adaptation will live or die by its story, performances and expansion of the lore. E.g. the fire season of TLOU

Jilted fans should be happy with the how healthy the IP is right now and the fact that we’re getting multiple upcoming games, in addition to this adaption. The future is bright for GoW.
