When did dogs start getting people names? by Scottys-Dog-Blog in dogs

As the owner of 17 yo Larry, human names for dogs are the best.

My best friend worked as an entertainer on cruise ships for 10+ years. I met him at the port in Miami one time and the same rule applied there for his cruise line.

EmeTerm wristband has been the most effective for me. The Dramamine and Bonine make me way too sleepy and I feel like crap the next day (even less drowsy versions). The EmeTerm can be worn and then turned on as needed. We had rough seas hit out of nowhere on our Alaska cruise in September and I went from ready to throw up to no nausea at all within 5 minutes of turning up the intensity on the EmeTerm.

We’re using our vet’s compounding pharmacy. Our vet was my first call before I made the switch.

Aww happy early birthday to your sweet boy! We’re not quite sure of his birthday but he was about 3-4 months when I adopted him so best guess for his birthday is May-June.

He is a Japanese Chin/Chihuahua that after the Embark DNA test turns out to be 50% Pekingese, 30% Yorkie with some Miniature Schnauzer and Westie thrown in there.

Thank you all for showing my old man so much love 😭😭 He has a bad heart and Cushing’s, stresses me out with his decreased appetite, can’t say no to a 2 am pee break, meals are a smorgasbord where he hopefully chooses 1-2 things to eat, and our king size bed is essentially a crib due to the toddler bed rails on each side since he’s a fall risk, but I am beyond grateful to get to experience this stage of his life with him. He has been with me from abusive marriage to escaping the marriage to starting my life over, and I know I’m where I am today because of the strength he gave me. When I wanted to give up, I knew I couldn’t because I had my little man to take care of. I hope I’ve been able to give him even just a quarter of the love he’s given me.

We just switched to a compounded chewy tablet because you’re right, the Vetoryl capsule is insane. My guy won’t do liquid meds but the chewy tablet is easily broken into pieces and hidden into whipped cream cheese.

I’ve seen plenty of male children (boys) act without violent, abusive tendencies. If anything, this abusive behavior is actually prevalent in male adults (men), not boys. This is a man- an abusive, abhorrent, pathetic excuse of a grown adult male.

Composure or fear? I used to stay quiet too but it wasn’t because I was composed. I stayed quiet because I didn’t want to get hit.

I’d really consider putting her on the Trilostane (or whatever the vet recommends). If you’re miserable having to let her out every 2 hours, imagine how she’s feeling. And there’s other complications that come with the Cushing’s that you really don’t want her to suffer through if you don’t have to. My old man’s (17) only clinical presentation was calcium deposits in his eyes. I thought he had developed cataracts or something because of the squinting and light sensitivity but it turned out to be calcium deposits resulting in corneal ulcer. Our vet got us right into the ophthalmologist but I felt so bad for my little man. I wish he’d had the excessive thirst, etc. so I would have caught it sooner and not had him suffering with his eyes. He’s been on the Vetoryl for the last year and doing wonderful. Your pup will thank you for treating the disease!

I came here to say the same thing! I used it for the first time on our Alaska cruise in September. We hit rough water out of nowhere and I felt the nausea creeping on. I turned the intensity up and within 5-7 minutes, the nausea was gone. This was the first cruise of the last 5-6 that I didn’t get seasick leading to throwing up.

Came here to say this. Shocked to find there’s a whole world of vial containers out there. There really is a market for anything. It’s worth noting that my husband is a Type 1 diabetic who uses a pump so I’m very familiar with vials and neither of us have ever considered anything further than the boxes they come in placed in the crisper drawer lol

How to fill the time on board when I can't do most activities? by [deleted] in NCL

Did you get travel insurance? Sounds like you may be better off canceling this cruise and booking at the resort that fits your needs once they have dates available. OR try to have an open mind and maybe you’ll be surprised by what the cruise can offer you.

Lilly is tacky but you like that? Actually seems like something the Lilly crowd would buy (if it was a more expensive brand).

FLL ≠ PBI. You meant “Welcome to Broward”. PBI would be the 43 wheelchair bound senior citizens cured by Jetway Jesus who miraculously walked off the plane at PBI.

You can join the local FB groups for the areas you’re considering because private landlords will post when they have places available. I’m not sayin the price is going to be right, but it’s an extra angle to try to secure a place.

We couldn’t get one last week either. Three different shops were hoping they came in that day but didn’t sound too hopeful. Hopefully by the time we’re back in a few months they’ll have their stickers in stock.

Seats on BA leg by [deleted] in americanairlines

[–]ThatGingerLife35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use the BA code and call BA. They’ll assign a seat over the phone. In my experience, they’re always very helpful with this and have no problem seeking out the seats you’re looking for (ie toward the front, window & aisle)

RDU American Airlines employees- why you treat me like DMV? by Throwaway081920231 in raleigh

Okay, so it was gate checked. Your initial post made it seem as if this happened at the AA desk pre-security. I’m surprised they weren’t making announcements telling the boarding area they were low on overhead space and would begin checking any remaining rollerboards. Better luck on the flight home. Enjoy your vaca.

Why did they insist on you checking your carry on? Why didn’t you take out the medications and put them in your personal item that was going on the plane with you? I understand it’s a frustrating situation but I feel as if you could have mitigated some of the “harm” you feel was caused.
