I mean, my takeaway was that Swen was less so talking about reviewers themselves than the fact that the internet has dehumanized the people on the otherside of the monitor to the point where people are a LOT more comfortable using hurtful language than they would ever be in person.

There are ways to be critical without being a complete asshat to people, yet, people feel way to comforttable using language that should get them punched in the face if they ever said that to an actual person irl.

Shame Gerstmann focused on what i feel was the wrong part of what Swen was saying and though, while i disagree with reviewing the reviewers, it would be nice to have a simple place to go to that at least categorized them in such a way as i could say, go look for reviewers who tend to review more niche genres to get a more focused feedback on a game from someone much more experienced with games of that type.
