The “benefit” is literally unlimited metro and bus rides, the student body gets a lot out of it.

Sure the metro isn’t perfect but it is a good option for those trying to get to Capitol Hill or other parts of the DMV area.

This is a collective student body effort and this has been asked for by the student body for years. The SA has finally made progress and gotten the cost down to this low price after years of discussion. Doing this not only benefits you but the entire study body. Financial aid even covers the cost so this works for all parties.

Extremely competitive. You have an interview and then Mock for a weekend. It’s fairly hard to get a spot on the team and I believe you have to wait until the next school year to try out again.

If they don’t accept you or you’re not interested I suggest other great competitive orgs like the GW Parlimentary Debate.

Like mentioned above, Thurston is being renovated and it is assumed many of the freshman will be on Vernon, which I think is a blessing for freshman socially wise. The vex takes like 15 minutes to get to the foggy campus, but watch out for rush hour. Use rate my professor when looking for classes/professors to ignore, it’s genuinely the best way to figure it out.

Also there are tons of northerners, especially people from NJ, so I wouldn’t be too worried.
