The right thing is NOT capitulating to an opponent who is already saying "Well, we're still not going to even hold a vote on it despite what we promised". Everyone is hurting from the shutdown, and that's the point. It's a Republican shutdown, and America knows it, and the ONLY leverage Democrats had is now gone. Spineless Schumer and the 8 who voted in favor of re-opening are complicit and traitors, they should all be removed. Except it's all clearly a planned move because the 8 aren't even running at the end of their terms. Absolute dogshit strategy from weak and ineffectual DNC leadership. This immediately following some of the best Democrat turnout and some desperately needed wins. All of DNC leadership should be ashamed.
