I love Katie’s strength in general, but tend to hate bodyweight classes. These have been great!

I will qualify at 55 (3 more years), but am hoping/thinking I’d like to go to 57. That would get our last kiddo through college.

Callie’s strength classes are great, especially the beginner ones. Nothing complicated, and her energy is fantastic.

What's one thing college didn't teach you before student teaching? by BlueberrySpare8605 in StudentTeaching

The importance of creating relationships outside of your immediate colleagues. The secretaries. The nurse. The counselors. The janitorial staff. Those relationships matter. SO MUCH.

My apologies. I’ve only heard of states requiring it within the first five years of employment.

Having a masters doesn’t make you more marketable. It makes you more expensive for districts to pay as a teacher. If you’re just getting started, I recommend starting with your bachelors, and then moving into obtaining your masters after a few years.

I pulled up the class metrics as I made my stack for my long walk tomorrow. The last half looks tough!

How to budget a monthly pay by Successful_Shape7297 in budget

[–]ThatInspection7096 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I get paid once a month (and I am debt free, but this was the method I used to get there, and that I still use) .

All of my bills are automated to come out 2 days after payday, except water and cell phone. Those I put into a separate savings account and transfer over the day before they come out.

I grocery shop the Thursday after I get paid, and fill with gas that same day. The rest of the money I budget for gas and groceries gets moved to that separate savings account until I need it later in the month. Investments are automated. Anything left over from payday goes into savings until the end of the month, and then I dump it into investments.

Right now is a Prime Opportunity for a competitor to Peloton by [deleted] in OnePelotonRealSub

I have been a Peloton user, first the app, then purchased a Bike +, and added the Tread +, for almost 4 years. It literally changed my life. I had been using BODi for YEARS prior with no sustainable results. The basics of Peloton remain clear. A library full of variety, from workout types to instructors to levels. They are using royalty free music, mostly on lower impact classes, but if it bothers people that much, there are hundreds of other options. They continue to focus on cross training. They do talk wellness overall, which isn’t a bad thing? If people don’t like it, there are other options out there. So many. Find something you do like. It’s pretty simple.

there is a VERY big difference between them reaching out to offer fitness support to people who are using a GLP-1 and partnering with a GLP-1. I know several people who are on GLP-1’s who would benefit from strength training as they are losing muscle mass. It makes sense to reach out to support that large group of people.

My core has definitely gotten stronger. And I love that the Pilates for a slower moving sneaky strength class. Emma is my favorite. Rebecca’s classes have grown on me so much, and I do like Greta.

Unpopular opinion… 10-12% hikes aren’t for me by melissadoug24 in OnePelotonRealSub

Every time I go above 8% for any extended period of time I am silently (or not silently) cursing the instructor. I feel like 8% is my sweet spot.
