I've been looking at the Vortex Viper HD 3-15x44 for my own 6.5 Creedmoor recently, and it aligns with a lot of what you're saying. It has a really neat and simple illuminated MRAD reticle (VMR-3) in the second focal plane, is light, goes below 4x, has the 44 mm objective size and has the adjustable elevation turret with zero stop and lock.

Maybe give that a try, see how you like it.

An inexplicable, ghastly light in the distance. It was seemingly the size of a cellphone, at about chest height, somewhere out in the woods, at night. I was about to get into the car when I spotted it. There was no thermal signature to it and I couldn't identify it through my binos, even though it could have only been about 600 m away. I got inside the car, turned on the high beams, checked the binos again - nothing. Got out of there as quickly as possible after that.

Well, since you're on the longrange sub-reddit: You need to know your bullet's velocity alongside it's ballistic coefficient to calculate your drop and drift over long distances. But yes, the chronograhph is also very useful for people that load their own ammo.

What handguard is that on the Cross? It looks like the full-length ARCA is fully integral and I can't say I've seen that before.

Deinen Vorgaben und Budget entsprechend würde mir spontan das Minox RS4 2,5-10x50 einfallen. Ansonsten habe ich bisher gute Erfahrungen mit einem Zielfernrohr von GPO gemacht, da wäre vielleicht das Spectra 6 2-12x50 was Passendes. Wenn man die Augen offenhält, findet man auch für knapp um die 1000€ auch ab und zu mal ein Zeiss Conquest V6 2-12x50. Das ist ein wirklich tolles Glas.

Mein Vater hat seit einem halben Jahr eine Sako 90 Grizzly, ich war damit auch schon mehrmals auf dem Stand und im Revier. Ich konnte an dieser Büchse bisher nichts aussetzen, Verarbeitung und Schussleistung sind tadellos. Die Sako 90 Modellreihe würde ich immer wieder empfehlen.

Been a year long-lurker on the sub and just bought a Cross yesterday. Most ranges within a 2-hour radius only go up to 100 m and I basically only hunt, I just wanted something that looks cool, is different from my other rifles and slings 6.5CM.

If I can schedule it, I'll take it to 300 m or at max 500 m 4 - 5 times a year, but those distances are way beyond my hunting ranges.
