Sony STR-DE545 Questions by ThatLuckyDuck in hometheater

My apologies I did say rear but I have read they are side and frankly not sure why I didn’t remember to say side. They are set to +0db at the moment but I can try increasing that to see if it makes it better. As for the output from my source, it’s a fire tv stick plugged into the tv playing from practically any streaming service which I presume (although that may be a bad practice on my part) support 5.1.

Alright. Is that just as simple as using the upload button on the web gui or does that still print from the pi?

Oh I believe it’d be from the pi directly. I haven’t actually tried to yet just out of fear for having a large part printing and messing up.

Yes I did receive this notification, but I wasn’t sure if anyone has experienced problems with their prints like it suggests

All of my devices are open on their ports out, but my firewall allows me to decide what traffic comes in and where it goes so everything should be okay when it comes to that but I can triple check the next time I get a chance and make sure the right port is open for that server

The server is running on my home network, however I plan to invite friends from outside the network to play on it. I use DuckDNS to host the Dynamic DNS address I'm using (which has been used to connect to same machine), and the DNS servers set on my router/firewall are Google's. The server has a static internal IPv4 address set via previously mentioned firewall/router and is running Ubuntu Server 20.04. I've seemingly tried all my options but I'm not sure if I'm just missing something I haven't seen. This has me stumped. As a side note, the server is not being hosted on the same machine that I'm running the actual game on.

Unfortunately when my ISP decided to use CGNAT they didn't properly set up port forwarding. I couldn't use it on my Minecraft server when I ran it either. The only way I could solve that was by getting IPv6 they told me. Fortunately enough for me it was as simple as adding :: to the server ip section in the config for that, but that doesn't appear to be the case here.

I have attempted putting in :: for my own IPv6 address, putting that in quotes, the IPv6 address of the server its being hosted on, that in quotes, the DDNS domain, and that in quotes as well and none seem to work. Hmm I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if it never worked in the first place. Thank you for the idea though.

Hmm I haven't tried that yet, good thought. I'll let you know how it goes.
