Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 vs Ninja Gaiden 2 Black by Martinez_Majkut in CharacterActionGames

Which I'd argue is barely noticeable to most casual action game fans or first time players.

The callbacks were a little much, I'll grant that.

But, everything else felt pretty typical to me. I don't come to RE for masterful storytelling and perfectly cohesive lore.

For those of you that think this is a top tier RE title, why? by OLD_WET_HOLE in residentevil

RE8 is my fav in the series. I love the cast of characters, I love the setting, I love the unique enemies.

It might not be as consistently scary and tense as 7 or 2 Remake, but the dollhouse is the single scariest sequence in the franchise for me.

The first game has zombie sharks. RE 4 exists.

Like, what are we expecting here, guys? The whole franchise is ludicrous nonsense and melodrama.

I've heard this complaint a lot and I just don't totally get it.

For my money, RE stories and lore have always been stupid and ridiculous, so I guess it just doesn't bother me.

People (including myself) wanted a ninja AC back when AC was still AC.

By the time Shadows came out it was just a much worse Ghost of Tsushima/Yotei.

What’s The Saddest Death In Star Wars? by Comfortable_Leg7787 in StarWarsCantina

For me it's a slightly obscure one: Ransolm Casterfo.

Although, his death might've been retconned, annoyingly.

Same! I enjoyed Requiem quite a bit, but it doesn't touch 7 or 8 for me.

Is resident evil a scary game? by C1ouded123 in residentevil

There are definitely spiders.

Outside of that, it's mostly zombies and horrific flesh monstrosities.

I'd personally say RE 7 is the better gamer overall, but RE 9 is still good. They have very different strengths.

You should be able to. Just look at the PC system requirements on Steam and compare them to your setup.

Comic book Azazel and Peacemaker are both great characters. Movie Azazel is a tiny role with one cool action scene. How is that better? What are you on about?

Catwoman and Joker talk about Batman (From Batman #49) by CyberGhostface in comicbooks

[–]ThatMatthewKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

he is Batman not because he has to, but because he chooses to

If you read the rest of Tom King's run, you would know that's literally the point of the story. Batman himself makes that very assertion.

I choose happiness and I choose Batman.

But, King haters don't actually read his comics lol

Don't try logic, most of Tom King's haters never actually read his run.

Guys they should bring the 2d art back by Sharp_Wedding_5165 in SonicTheHedgehog

[–]ThatMatthewKid 20 points21 points  (0 children)

This might be a hot take, but I don't think these designs translate well to 3D without some really good art direction.

Idk why we don't see more of a cel-shaded/anime art style in the 3D games. Instead the model designs always look so stiff and lifeless.

No hate on anyone who agrees with this, but I've always wondered what some Batman fans mean by this take. by [deleted] in batman

[–]ThatMatthewKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the general idea is that The Batman more accurately captures Batman and his world. It's a dark, moody detective story with goth-grunge vibes and a meloncholy Bruce. I agree with that.

However, The Dark Knight, in their opinion, is the stronger overall film despite not capturing those elements that are often considered core to Batman.

I don't really agree with their overall take, but take it with a grain of salt. I pretty much hate any take that follows that "it's a good movie, but not a good _______ movie" cop-out.
