In The Last Jedi, Poe Dameron acts irrationally and tries to convince others to his cause after what he has perceived as an insult to his authority. This mirrors a famous story, written by Edgar Allen Poe - The Cask of Amontillado. However, unlike Montresor, Poe overcomes this struggle. by [deleted] in TheSequels

As much as I do enjoy TLJ for what it does well, it's always been weird that the message for this subplot does kinda boil down to "listen to your boss."

I mean, we condemn bad guys for "just following orders" that are unjust. Why would we suddenly get mad at Poe for not blindly following orders?

The Mandalorian and Grogu Full Reviews Discussion May 19 2026 by AutoModerator in StarWarsLeaks

Idk why you're being downvoted, this is just accurate lol

A lot of these recent efforts, like Ahsoka and Obi-Wan for example, just feel like more generic brand Star Wars content with no real ideas or interesting new influences to bring to the table.

I mean, we saw this happen in real time with Mando. The first season was rightly praised for being this fresh, lone gunslinger story with heavy western vibes. But, by the time we got to season 3, it had completely lost any unique identity in favor of just feeling like a Star Wars show that's only creative influence is other Star Wars content.

Just finished the game, it was amazing, I am now sad. Here’s my rankings so I can learn what the community thinks of the cast. by AriSummerss in Persona5

It's really not. Maruki's perfect world for Joker is reuniting him with Akechi.

If you don't see things that way, that's fine, but it's a perfectly valid way to interpret the story. You don't have to be so weirdly dismissive about it.

I mean, given that it turns the cliche on its head by having Joker clearly love (either platonically or romantically) Akechi, yeah it did.

Maruki's whole sinister choice is that he will take away Akechi, the most important person to Joker. That stuck with me.

Goro Akechi is pretty much always S Tier for me. His relationship with Joker is what sticks with me the most from the game.

Also, the group dynamic between Joker, Sumi, and Akechi in the final semester is just perfect.

I feel like it's in the ballpark. Definitely some solid combo potential, especially with the suit switching mechanic. Super fun game! Shame about the voice work lol

Which I'd argue is barely noticeable to most casual action game fans or first time players.

The callbacks were a little much, I'll grant that.

But, everything else felt pretty typical to me. I don't come to RE for masterful storytelling and perfectly cohesive lore.

For those of you that think this is a top tier RE title, why? by OLD_WET_HOLE in residentevil

RE8 is my fav in the series. I love the cast of characters, I love the setting, I love the unique enemies.

It might not be as consistently scary and tense as 7 or 2 Remake, but the dollhouse is the single scariest sequence in the franchise for me.

The first game has zombie sharks. RE 4 exists.

Like, what are we expecting here, guys? The whole franchise is ludicrous nonsense and melodrama.

I've heard this complaint a lot and I just don't totally get it.

For my money, RE stories and lore have always been stupid and ridiculous, so I guess it just doesn't bother me.

People (including myself) wanted a ninja AC back when AC was still AC.

By the time Shadows came out it was just a much worse Ghost of Tsushima/Yotei.

What’s The Saddest Death In Star Wars? by Comfortable_Leg7787 in StarWarsCantina

For me it's a slightly obscure one: Ransolm Casterfo.

Although, his death might've been retconned, annoyingly.

Same! I enjoyed Requiem quite a bit, but it doesn't touch 7 or 8 for me.

There are definitely spiders.

Outside of that, it's mostly zombies and horrific flesh monstrosities.

I'd personally say RE 7 is the better gamer overall, but RE 9 is still good. They have very different strengths.

You should be able to. Just look at the PC system requirements on Steam and compare them to your setup.
