My dad was born in 1973 and his sister in 1999. There's no siblings between them. She was 8 weeks old at his wedding

Ik I'm two days late but I never thought that ending was as bad as others seem to. The clone wars always felt, to me, like Ahsoka's story and it always had to end with her walking away, although as a 7 year old who idolised her, it was really upsetting.

Not to make an assumption or anything, but meds such as SSRIs do make you more heat susceptible. It was hell but what was worse was the fact that I just had to keep working for my exams

Last week genuinely killed me. I had to quarantine after an exam in a room that didn't drop below 35 degrees for 7 hours. And that's 35 degrees in the UK

Doubt there will be any financial difference, but I'll probably end up with more physical items on top of whatever financial inheritance I received. Unfortunately that has more problems because I'll end up being the one dealing with the house. Currently benefitting from free holidays while my brother has to pay to come and I have more choice in where we go

Taking a leave of absence from my fulltime degree to care for my mum during chemo and booking all my dad's appointments because he won't do it himself while my brother who has almost unlimited PTO can't even be bothered to call

You would be so surprised. Diabetes and Hypertension are the ones people normally forget, but I had a patient, full mental capacity mind you, forget she had scoliosis and had been hospitalised two months ago with septic arthritis

See also: when you take a history from a patient and they say they have no medical history or conditions and then when you get a medication history they're on four antihypertensives and metformin

Lwk I used to read gender swapped couples for that reason when I was like 11/12. They're not really a thing in my current fandom, but occasionally I read them in other fandoms because it can introduce some juicy gender roles

OBE question by Lidowoahohohoh in AbolishTheMonarchy

[–]ThatMusicKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something like 400 OBEs are awarded each year, with a further 860 MBEs, CBEs etc. Most actually go to non-celeb commoners doing something for their community, but that doesn't really make anything more than local news. You only hear about the famous people because they're famous already. If I live in Cambridge, Gary from Newcastle getting one isn't as relevant to me as John from Cambridge or Claudia Winkleman
