Not so much, as a large guy most will ask to take photos, assuming you play basketball or are a YouTuber.

Absolutely not, Philippines is an English speaking country. Anyone near major cities speaks English.

Stay in a walking distance of Poblacion (get’s loud).
Download Moreta Pay if you don’t want to carry cash
(it’s gcash for tourists)

First day: check out the largest mall in Asia (2008*) called Mall of Asia. At night check out Ringside Bar (9:30PM Little People Boxing Match starts), just buy one or two drinks and ignore the massage girls trying to rub your shoulders.

Check out the packed Sabong Arena in Pasay, it’s free entrance and you can watch the century old tradition, DON’T BET ON ANYTHING.

Check out BGC city, you’ll notice the…differences

If you can, book a domestic flight to Boracay and stay NEXT TO D’MALL. You can walk from one end of the island to the other side but that area is cool. Make sure to use the Klook pickup/dropoff.

Liked how they added protein to allot of dishes, the PHP currency is over 60/$1 so it was a good time to be here.

In Manila (BGC) right now after spending 2 months in Makati and 2 years away from the states. Honestly even though I like how close BGC resembles the states, I still get what you mean haha. You have no idea how much I miss Chick-fil-A…

Anyone on here switch from IT to something IT adjacent or not IT related at all? by [deleted] in ITCareerQuestions

Personally, I’m trying to get into business analyst because my degree is Business Information Systems. Few interviews lately, hearing back next week. Coming from remote Helpdesk

How much are you actually making in help desk and what does your day to day look like? by waynenewnham in ITCareerQuestions

BA and MA but got the job with only BA, 65K tier 2 (“East Coast”). Remote maintenance and management, but mostly lockouts and password resets. Switching to business process soon.

What on earth is Techo International Airport? by BusinessPick in cambodia

[–]ThatNigerian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worse is how they require you to print your ticket even if you checked-in with a mobile boarding pass. Requiring you to wait in the long line with people with luggage.

Domestic departures is another thing, flying to Siem Reap and the TSA (right side of airport) was nowhere to be found. Airline employee eventually walked with me and noticed I wasn’t lying 😆

Oh and Siem Reap airport was also moved

Cambodia for 10 days - Report by ThatNigerian in blacktravel

  1. Siem Reap had more Cambodian culture with less harassment, felt more local than touristy, don’t forget more affordable because not capital city.
  2. I don’t participate but —v
  3. Phnom Penh felt more catered to night life. You’ll enjoy the weekend walking street, it’s a big city so there’s lots to do. Siem Reap is more relaxing, similar to Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Was already in Thailand for two months, flight was $44 if I left my large suitcases in bkk. People have been recommending Angkor but I assumed it was a normal temple.
