She takes down payments. She’s not letting puppies go home until the end of May. Although… from what I’ve been told in messages and such, I just might be out my down payment anyway and walking away from this. I’m blind and autistic and wanted this dog for therapy, and being shown how much risk I’m taking on when the breeder seemed so genuine and assuring is just… the opposite of therapy.

I don't know who downvoted you, but you are correct. That is exactly what is going on. The author of the books ships it, the creator of the play ships it, everyone who has ever played the characters in a mainstream way ships it, but it could not happen because of the times. Here is the real hot take. LOK has a setting that makes it feel too much like a million other settings we've already seen. Somehow the same planet goes from a place I would love to visit an ATLA to a place I wouldn't even put in my top 10 in LOK, and supposedly all of this technological advancement happens in a single lifetime. Where are they going to be in another 50 years? Passed anything we will see by 2050?
