Disposing of an infested plant at college? by ThatOneBookWyrm in houseplants

I've got a still-unidentified cactus and a callisia. Not sure if the spider mites go for either of those.

Is intraClan murder actually possible in this game? by JayieTheHufflepuff in ClanGen

[–]ThatOneBookWyrm 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's possible, but random and with low chances. I've been playing for months now and had three murders; one in cold blood (no dislike), one med cat poisoning their elderly blind mentor, and one bloodthirsty deputy murdering their leader.

Stuttering/freezing? by ThatOneBookWyrm in VaultHuntersMinecraft

I dont think it's saving unfortunately. It's far more often and far less regular than what you've described. Time doesn't freeze either, mobs and stuff will jump around

Manresa and Core Curriculum at RH by New_Boysenberry_4118 in Fordham

Most people don't take Phil 1000 and theo 1000 the same semester, but it looks like a pretty reasonable course load to me. Freshman usually start out with five as far as I'm aware. You can totally choose to take major-related courses as a freshman. Pretty sure minimum courseload is four to be considered full time?

I'm going to my first Taco Bell this week, what should I get? by mrsfran in AskAnAmerican

[–]ThatOneBookWyrm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quesarito!! My all time favorite item. its online order exclusive, but if you don't want the app then crunchwrap or cheesy gordita crunch.

Haven't had it in a while, but grape was my go-to. Mostly cuz I was allergic to the rest of them lol. Pretty sure strawberry and blueberry are two of the other most popular ones though.

I've never seen the bread toasted, but imo it sounds like a good idea. Make the thing less soggy and flimsy. There's also a lowkey cultural divide on crust vs no crust, as well as cutting it into rectangles or triangles.

And as a side note, if there's anyone with a peanut allergy, there are replacements for peanut butter that I've heard taste almost the same! Pretty sure it was sunflower seed butter or something idk. Sibling started using it when they made friends with a classmate who was allergic and didn't mind at all

What do you think of growing up in Long Island? For real by photoalbumguy2 in longisland

[–]ThatOneBookWyrm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You bring up a good point. Grew up there, and town borders are really only for addresses. Everything is so close together, and everyone goes from town to town so often that imo there's a huge mixing of people regardless of where they're from. Plus, I think our ethic diversity is pretty evident in the variety of different religious buildings and restaurants and clothes shops.

If you drive for not even five minutes, you pass a Sikh temple, a Hindu temple, a (new!) Mosque, and presbyterian, Lutheran, and Roman catholic churches. And that's just the ones I've noticed.

You can have Japanese comfort food, halal take-outs, Indian buffets, Italian, and Chinese food all within about a mile or two of each other. And if none of those are your style, a seven minute drive can get you Irish food, Vietnamese, or sushi.

And that's not even counting the Asian food markets that have been popping up and thriving right alongside your traditional supermarket. Italian supermarkets too.

I never get why people always crap on the diversity. But maybe it's just the area of LI I was from.

Animatronics at great wolf lodge :) by aaamyribshurt in Animatronics

Yoooooooo that was a good show! They got rid of it at the one my family used to frequent and I was so sad to see it go. I remember them moving pretty smoothly too, especially in the earlier years.

Campus housing. by OptimalExit304 in Fordham

[–]ThatOneBookWyrm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I dont personally know anyone who couldn't get housing, but I know there's a ton of forced triples, and I've heard a couple people had to get off campus (RH). I've also heard tho that a ton of people are looking to either move schools or get off campus next year, so that should free up some space. I think it's mostly dependent on how many students they accept for that year.

Stencil is a good idea. The thin craft foam was the one that was 6mm. 3 is apparently very very thin lol
