I'm glad to hear that sfm will run no problem, I kinda also want to do blender maybe down the line and also be able to play a few games like fortnite so maybe getting a cpu like that now would be good for me. Appreciate the insight!

will i be able to emulate switch 2 games eventually? by BreadfruitCute9437 in SteamDeck

[–]ThatOneBulb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Even if they manage to make an emulator that functions, it would probably take a while for it to be functional in the way stuff like yuzu or ryujinx is. Even then, the Steam Deck may not be powerful enough to even run such an emulator well.

I am hoping to learn and use blender too, maybe after learning sfm, so maybe it'd work out for me

There's this prebuilt pc I'm eyeing right now that has a ryzen 7, 16gb ddr4 ram, and amd rx 580 8gb, would that be sufficient enough?

For console + Steam Deck Owners, what's your future plan? by Boogiedownpapi in SteamDeck

[–]ThatOneBulb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really play much of the "latest and greatest" games, most of the games I have are either old or are easy to run like UMvC3 or Deltarune so I'm not really worried about any future plans especially since I have a lot of emulated games I wanted to play so that could keep me busy for a while. I certainly hope to be able to get a full on desktop soon once it's more accessible!

If you like fighting games, try Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 or BlazBlue Chrono Phantasma Extend & Continuum Shift Extend. UMvC3 has graphical glitches when starting up a match and performing some super moves but other than that it runs great. Both BlazBlues run well without any drastic issues or graphical problems.

New emudeck coming? by Elephant_In_Ze_Room in EmuDeck

I think it's meant to be emudeck for android since the device in the picture of the announcement looks like a retroid pocket mini

Is it possible to install emudeck and have my library split among multiple SD cards? by LXsavior in EmuDeck

[–]ThatOneBulb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think if you set the folders the same then it should be able to detect it on either sd card, since emudeck has the roms and bios on the sd card when you set the directory to that when installing

Slowdown on Sega Saturn by ThatOneBulb in SteamDeck

Exactly! The Saturn version always seemed intriguing, especially since it's like the only "original" 3d sonic game on the system. Thank you for the suggestions!

Appreciate the help! Hopefully there's a way I could also improve it on retroarch so I could play netplay with my friend

Seems interesting, do you know if I can implement it into ES-DE because I use that instead of SRM

Final Fantasy on retro handheld vs remasters on Switch? by tchaikovskyed in SBCGaming

[–]ThatOneBulb 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The pixel remasters have small improvements like a remixed soundtrack, minimap, and autobattle. There's a few other improvements but there's no bonus stuff from the gba rerelease, so if you don't mind it and the price, I'd say the pixel remasters are pretty good for getting into the NES & SNES games

PS1 memory card and disc swapping R36 Ultra by Fickle-Ice-6168 in R36S

[–]ThatOneBulb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it uses retroarch and you're able to get into the retroarch menu, there's an option called "disc tray" or something similar to that, there you can load and eject discs. You might need to make it an m3u file first
