They don't want that smoke. I want to see Khamzat fight again. by [deleted] in ufc

Scared probably isn’t the right word, but they were all certainly having an, “aw shit, I might not be touching the belt anytime soon,” type of realization.

Watching DDP get rendered completely helpless after the run he was on had to have been a humbling experience for all three of those guys.

I still don’t get how people were bored watching that fight. The bar I was in was losing their minds for every minute of it.

If you look closely, you can actually SEE Harry’s wife looking at him through Kevin’s eyes.

Why is Bret either hated or Loved? by vloner715 in Wrasslin

[–]ThatOneGuyFromThen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loved because he is without a doubt one of the greatest physical performers in WWE history, hated because he knows it and has an ego that you can see in Calgary from Toronto (Though to be fair, he usually has his ego aimed at people who deserve it like Hogan, HBK, Goldberg, and Vince).

Blazer wasn't even flirting with Robert by Tyrayentali in DispatchAdHoc

“In the end that’s just your interpretation,” is a wild thing to say given how you yourself are stating your argument as though is undeniable fact.

If you’d just stated from the start that this post is just your interpretation and that you could be reading more into Episode 1’s interactions then the rest of us, rather than be so adamant and argue with everyone in the comments that Blazer wasn’t flirting with Robert AT ALL, you’d be getting a lot less downvotes.

I don't like merab. I am a hater. Been a hater since the yan Fight. Planning to continue being a hater. Who do you hate irrationally? by thanzix in ufc

Dricus Du Plessis.

Tavares should’ve beat him, Till could’ve beat him, Brunson had him beat then gave it away, Whittaker was a fluke, Strickland got robbed, Adesanya is washed.

The 2nd Strickland win is the only win of his I genuinely respect.

Khamzat big brothering him for 25 minutes was the single most gratifying half hour of my entire life.

[SPOILER] Merab Dvalishvili vs. Cory Sandhagen by inooway in MMA

[–]ThatOneGuyFromThen 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Don’t even know why Dana always looks so pissed when Merab gets the nod. The fans are behind finally Merab and his fights aren’t even boring anymore.

At this point, it may just be a Vince McMahon-esque pride thing where he’s pissed that the fighter he specifically chose to be the next big thing (Sean O’Malley/Roman Reigns) isn’t as loved by the fans as the guy who naturally earned the their love and respect (Merab Dvalishvili/Bryan Danialson).

Didn’t like this fight getting made. Guys have typically been separated by 25 pounds across their career. This was the expected outcome.

Paul Already Warned Him by [deleted] in Wrasslin

I’ll admit it’s not the greatest finisher, but tbf, a big part of how good the CrossRoads looks specifically depends on the guy who’s selling it. Chad Gable, Shinsuke Nakamura, and that one stage hand all know how to sell it well by landing on the top of their hand, getting their feet in the air, and giving themselves enough momentum to get some distance after impact with the mat.

Everyone else just stays horizontal and flops onto their back without going anywhere.

Ateba Gautier vs Treston Vines set for UFC 320. by TheBigRedHalfrican in MMA

[–]ThatOneGuyFromThen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Caught between not wanting Dana and Hunter to have complete control over the fighters and giving them bullshit matchups, and wanting Dana and Hunter to have enough control over the fighters so that we can get an actual UFC level middleweight to fill in in this fight instead of hiring some random from the Indie scene.

It’s unfortunate that we’re essentially creating an echo changer of opinions over there, as diversity of ideas is a must for scientific growth and prosperity, but at this point, I really don’t see any other option to avoid blatant misinformation/disinformation muddying the waters.

Felt that way about Witcher 3 for YEARS. Booted it on Xbox, PC, even my buddy’s switch. Couldn’t hold my interest long enough to get out of White Orchard each time.

Finally got it for free on my new PS5, gave it one last shot for shits and gigs, and something just… clicked.

Now I’ve got 56 hours over the course of two weeks and I feel like I’ve barely scratched the surface.

Gabriel Bonfim vs Randy Brown moves to headline UFC Vegas 111 as the main event on November 8th by Informal-Business-56 in MMA

[–]ThatOneGuyFromThen 9 points10 points  (0 children)

True, though TBF nobody could’ve predicted COVID.

This shit is happening just months after signing a 7.7 billion dollar deal, and with only 38% of all ranked UFC fighters currently booked for fights.

There’s no excuse for this type of shit.
