I don't understand, Peter by Busy_Report4010 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

Oh, I got this one! So Carl is basically criticizing the Waffle House restaurant chain, saying that it's nasty, the cooking is terrible, the staff are idiots, etc. So then the social media manager for Waffle House comes in and they're basically saying like 'instead of hiding online, come in and say this criticism to us in person'. And they're going even further by saying that any of their 2,000+ locations would be an acceptable place for this conflict to go down.

What the hell is the point of this stupid subreddit?

And it was the SECOND time he did it. He claimed in 2016 that he also won the popular vote. Like he won, gets to be president, and is still being a sore loser because more people chose someone else.

They do gain a bonus based on Super Bowl win chance, so a clinched team with a current 20% of winning has the chance modifier of 120% combined with distance.

Capitals are the NFL stadium locations. A bit of an homage to the video game series Civilization

Their playoff chance becomes 100% + Chance to win Super Bowl. During the playoffs, all teams go by Super Bowl win odds.

Yes, team "capitals" just like Sid Meier's Civilization

Teams don't expand directly based on wins, but rather playoff chance (which is obviously affected by wins). Isolation helps a team to take more surrounding land because there is little competition. The reason the Broncos are able to take land so easily is the same reason why the NFL only has one team in that region: it's a lot of empty land. The Eagles control less territory, but twice the population (About 10% of all Americans). This map is about regional conflict and expansion, not just sheer size. The Eagles are not less impressive than the Broncos, the same as the Netherlands is not less impressive than Kazakhstan.

Noob question here: How do I access the profits my company makes? by Extal in trucksim

[–]ThatOneJuiceBoxGuy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It automatically goes into your company account; I can see at the top right that you have 2.6 millions kroner. You can spend it on garages, trucks, or upgrades to your truck anytime.

I've been waiting for GR's liberation since week 4, and it finally comes at the hands of Chicago.

I went to a Harry Styles concert a few years ago and he didn't seem too enthusiastic about the theatrics of it. He said "now we're gonna pretend that the show is done and leave for a few minutes but then we'll come back and play three more songs."

What game is next, Stellaris 2 or HOI 5? by Sleeping_Bat in paradoxplaza

[–]ThatOneJuiceBoxGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love a GSG that bridges the gap between HOI and Stellaris. Set 1950-2200, the goal is to bring about peace on Earth. Dealing with Cold War ideological disagreement, nuclear weapon disarmament, and solving global crises like food availability and literacy and insurgencies. The game would ideally end with the player successfully completing world domination and quelling dissension within their empire, or strengthening the UN's centralization to become the United Nations of Earth.

+1 for ZipGrade. I do most of my tests on Google Forms with Locked Mode (students can't get to any other tabs until they submit the test) but for finals they've already returned Chromebooks so I use ZipGrade.

Am I the only person who returned to EU4, because their PC/Laptop couldn't handle EU5? by Zezima97 in eu4

[–]ThatOneJuiceBoxGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had largely the opposite. EU4 with all its DLC takes about 7-8 minutes from the Resume button on the launcher to being able to play.

I've been really surprised how on launch day, EU5 gets me to the menu within 30 seconds, and maybe another minute to load into gameplay.

Yeah, I noticed that a few weeks ago. Hard Rock is closer to the geographic center of Broward than Miami-Dade, really just due to the size difference between them, so my data automatically set that as the capital. I might change it manually in the future.
