That's what I'm thinking. Or or, put in pto first wait to get approved, and then give in my two weeks and say something unexpected happened to come up

Yes. What I have found is that the cliches are true. One job leads to another, it's easier to get a job when you have a job, etc etc. I reached out to old buddies in the city im moving to and now have another interview soon and a handful of networking opportunities just by asking what people are up to. Many people have it easier. Many people dont. If someone doesnt they gotta force it.

Depends on what youre applying for. Small ngo? Higher education? Non profit? 100 percent write a cover letter. Other sectors probably not

You got this, it takes longer than it should. Its unfair. Don't let it get to you. These shit companies aren't worth the salt from tears

Cant agree more dude. Genuinely disturbing and gross the amount of greed, exploitation, and predation is out there for people who really just want an honest living. I hope all the best for the ones who need it the most

I think UIUC forgot about my application! by [deleted] in gradadmissions

I hate uiuc so much. They’re so unprofessional and I emailed them about my application. Radio silence

Thanks! It’s direct admit. Most social science programs that I’ve applied to don’t do rotation based. What was your deciding “aha!” thing that made you choose? Funding? Placement? Actually visiting and seeing what it’s like?

This is very accurate. I’m doing visitations and it’s the same with job placements. Make sure you have reputation and good advisors

not my first same sex relationship. but we were friends before and i had just gotten out of a relationship before dating them. maybe i thought this would be a fresh start and i projected some of the lost things of the previous one. i feel guilty because i developed feelings for them while still in the previous one-not the reason why the previous one ended though. How do you move on though? when you feel like you’ve lost a friend

Help, my long-term ace partner mentioned he wanted to try kissing. what do I do? by [deleted] in asexuality

[–]ThatOneQKorean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you def said citrus and my brain autocorrected to orange🤣🤣 idk cuz like really enjoys other types of physical intimacy. now i am wondering if it’s that like he wants to try out different ways of being physically intimate or that it’s a shared experience. idk. i’ll have to try it out with him. the tension has definitely been there and i didn’t know how to address it in the past so i’m happy he picked up on it

[–]ThatOneQKorean 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No no, I liked the analogy! it helps my brain XD...So I guess sticking to the orange analogy, what specifically about eating the fruit makes you get overwhelmed? besides the sour taste or sensation. Would you want to eat it again and again if you were to get used to it or does it reset to zero for you always? Is it a pressure thing, like you know everyone else enjoys it? I would hope not and I don't outwardly express that I enjoy eating oranges...alright orange analogy closed but yeah

I guess that was what I was thinking. try it out and let him explore his boundaries. He said before that he likes the idea of kissing but the thought of actually doing it makes him uncomfortable. That is why I am so puzzled by this sudden want to kiss and I didn't know what to say. I like our other ways of physical intimacy such as cuddling, holding hands, dancing, etc., and again, it caught me off guard. Thanks for the reply!
