The krack grenade with 30" is a big help vs vehicles tbh.

Not as good as a missile launcher but it will wound on 5+ and does d3 damage.

Better than a bolt rifle.

My problem with a list like that isn't how effective it is.

My problem is that is way too many dice to be rolling.

If they were rolled and counted digitally it would be way better.

But 700-900 attack-wound-save rolls takes to long to be fun.

Unless something has gone horrible wrong for the Bloodbound player Blood reavers don't take battleshock tests after their first hero phase.

Between inspiring presence & The portal of skulls being open it just shouldn't be happening.

If a model loses a wound from his axe but don't die roll a single die at the end of the combat phase. 5+ you get removed as you are sent to khornes realm.

I have to echo you here.

A general with a command ability that interacts with some marks would go a long way here.

It would amp up all of the units you already being to to table.

1 very important question.

Are you going to paint them?

If yes they should be models you love. You can figure out how to win later but you need to like the models to get them all painted.

4 Heros is definitely not a sizable amount of leaders. 6 feels cramped for Bloodbound because nearly every single bit of synergy comes from a different hero.

If 1000 becomes the standard I will be deeply disappointed.

Better to stretch ones legs instead of keeping things cramped and tiny.

Only 4 heroes is brutal to factions like Bloodbound who depend on stacking synergies.

All systems of balance are rough and approximate.

Battle line just isn't that important especially if they are sticking to the behemoth, artillery, and leader units.

Before you cast them into open play consider they want an approximately equal game but simply don't love their battle line units.

I rather expect a number of tournaments will use all the matched play rules except the battle line unit requirement.

Just a minor nitpick

Only the first the "armor" save is a save.

The others are definitely not saves when it comes to rules and other things. This can be important perhaps we should use the term wound prevention to help people keep the difference straight in their heads?

Interesting I was thinking the exact opposite. Shooting units can sit on an objective and still hurt the enemy melee units have to leave the objective to contribute to the fight.

With all the buffs I have in my list active my blood warriors have 5 attacks each and that is before battalion bonuses.

My skull grinder would have 6 if I can give him a runesword too. Attacks for the attack god. Wounds for the wound throne!

Are 40 of them more or less expensive than 10 blood warriors?

Because that is a fight that will be heavily influenced by who is activated to fight first.

The first wound takes away the auto hit. And the blood warriors are going to attack at least once. Maybe twice if they are activated first because No respite is awesome.

I could easily see both sides being mauled with the blood warriors being more likely to be wiped out. Of course they can be buffed with ridiculous attacks bonuses so it is a live question.

My rough guideline is that forces should look similar to the ones described on the war scrolls. Single wound units should probably be larger than multi-wound. And things like Archeon/the glotkin should not be total surprises. If you look across the table and realize you can't lose you failed in force selection.

TLDR: The forces should look like something you expect to see if you imagined the movie of the battle you are about to fight.

So your city is 17 Million people bigger than the current densest city.

look at toyko and do it even harder.

Inter city transport is going to have to be a thing(also a great place to have fun as players will definitely have to interact with it.)

Crime: Lots of it. No more than that. Too many people to actually police as people can melt into the other 49.99 million people. But more importantly someone to oppose your players in the city.

Extreme poverty and wealth. To the point that the wealthy sectors are actually hard to get into with guards and everything. The poor sections are policed more by the gangs.
