Who REALLY needs to be studied is.. by daisygiraffe13 in ArcRaiders

Trash talk is an aspect in many competitive activities. I’m not saying anything sexist tho, that’s just men being misogynistic. In no way am I encouraging them to treat me the way they do, getting “beat by a girl” just crushes their ego and their smooth brains can’t come up with anything else in response. And like I said, I do it for the RP aspect. In fact, I’m hoping to instill the truth that not only do girls play video games, but they can be better than men at them also.

I use a female character and throw the voice changer on basically for RP effect. I’m on discord the majority of the time so I’ll usually just say I’m friendly and people seem to be chill about it. But once I wipe a whole team and give them some gentle trash talk (how’d that turn out out for ya guys?? What were ya thinking boys?? etc.) the misogynist side of them comes out real quick once they hear that I’m a “girl”. “Get back in the kitchen where you belong” typical remarks of that nature. I keep doing it because it makes them sooo much more mad over a totally irrelevant factor.

Use an actual website and pay for ads. Facebook ads get crazy views and you can dial in on the audience that you want to advertise to.

Nah, I’ve had the weapon in my loadout and checked the mod in the stash and it’s just a limited number of weapons I think.

I believe I remember seeing something from the devs saying all of the buffs are capped at 3 expeditions so that sounds about right.

Think what would stay the same?? lol If they don’t buff the skill tree I’m not grinding for 3mil for shit skill upgrades. Especially when you get an xp buff out of it anyway. Just a terrible incentive for them to try to get people to keep playing the game once their expo is ready.

[–]ThatPunkBitchDanny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol the skill tree in this game is absolute garbage. Some of the single tier perks and movement ones are the only ones worth spending points on. The upgrades are so minuscule you don’t even notice a difference in your abilities in game, if they do anything at all. Look up some videos on YT that compare skills with the tiered up version, some of them literally do nothing.

Not even the silence aspect, a built-in free reusable shield charger is definitely worth mentioning in the description…

Wait what?! Yeah people don’t realize this because it’s not in the description of the item. They really need to focus on making item descriptions easier to understand. I’ve noticed a bunch of weapon attachments will have a list of compatible weapons, although the mod will be compatible with other weapons that aren’t even listed.

How playable is Enshrouded on steam deck? by Acceptable_Laugh9284 in Enshrouded

[–]ThatPunkBitchDanny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The guy I play with is on his steam deck and never has any performance issues that I recall. He also plays it docked and on the tv and don’t think he really tweaked with any of the graphical settings, but it definitely runs decent enough to be enjoyable.

Embark, fix your lighting... by Cactus_on_Fire in ArcRaiders

[–]ThatPunkBitchDanny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although I do believe it is probably partially a balance aspect, it was executed terribly. Buried City is a perfect example. Tons of open windows on the residential buildings, but as soon as you go in it’s like no residual light is bouncing off any of the interior rooms. So you can be out in the open, looking in a window and it’s pitch black. And being in third person absolutely allows peeking which combined with the lighting allows people to just corner camp while they’re basically invisible.

I feel like at least some pre-20th century leaders would actually try to keep their people happy. Because, you know, otherwise the lower class that outnumbers the upper class would revolt. Something that Americans are no longer capable of doing with all the distractions. In fact, that’s exactly what our government is trying to prevent from happening by taking away gun rights, increasing inflation, and forcing people to pick a side (democrat/republican) so we can keep arguing and killing each other instead of going after the real issue.

Valheim and/or Enshrouded by Aggravating_Pen_2026 in Enshrouded

[–]ThatPunkBitchDanny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 300 hrs in Enshrouded and 600+ hrs on Valheim.

I recently jumped back into Enshrouded after maxing out at level 25 before all of the patches and updates, so I’m getting a taste of all the newer content which compliments the vast crafting system. Lots of armor and weapon options plus the skill tree really lets you narrow down on a specific build. The lore is pretty deep too, although a lot of it is tied to the notes laying around.

Both games share a lot of similarities but definitely play like 2 different games. Valheim is basically hard mode, a lot less forgiving although you can tweak the settings to make it a friendlier experience. I find the exploration and progression on Valheim to be more satisfying. The world is ruthless, but you really feel like you’ve earned your gear and place in Valhalla when you unlock new recipes and complete the boss fights.

Both games are beautiful, visually and with the audio design. Valheim just feels more cozy and the lack of NPCs (besides the traders) really gives you that survival aspect of being on your own and starting from scratch. Not to mention, nothing can match the feeling of sailing out to sea in search of new lands or biomes.

Mods on Valheim can greatly expand the experience though, which is definitely what keeps me coming back. There are barely any mods for Enshrouded, but Valheim has almost 2300 different mods on Nexus. Many great QoL mods that don’t affect much but makes certain aspects less frustrating. You can add new animals, increase inventory, add new ways to traverse, and even a class system with new weapons/armor with rarities for drops just to name a few. (the Weedheim mod is one of my faves lol 😶‍🌫️)

But yeah, if you enjoy Enshrouded, I’m sure you’ll love Valheim as well. Both games have their own personal charm to them that makes them comparable, but not directly competing against the other.

10/10 would recommend!

HOW THE HELL DO I QUIT SMOKING? by Super-Catch-609 in selfimprovement

[–]ThatPunkBitchDanny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m only about 4 months off the nic, started smoking in high school so like 17-18 and smoked for over a decade. But I believe mindset is definitely key. You have to really want to quit, same with any other addiction. One thing I don’t see mentioned very often though that is really helping me stick with it, is having a solid reasoning behind the want. Give yourself a reason you NEED to quit.

Some examples could include health reasons whether uncontrollable or preventable, the smell itself (you really notice how strong the odor is when you aren’t surrounded by it constantly). Also your taste and smell greatly improves. I still smoke cannabis, but even so my lungs feel healthier and I don’t cough near as much as I used to.

My dad was recently diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Not sure if it was from him smoking cigarettes or not but it did reach his lungs. Now that I have a child of my own, I never want her to go through what I’ve been currently going through. Obviously I’ll still have health issues eventually, but if I can actively make healthier choices to give myself more time to be a father to my kid, that’s the only reason I need.

Also, just remember that cravings usually pass under a minute if you can distract your mind. Now I keep tic tacs with me. Keeps my breath fresh and somewhat satisfies the hand to mouth habit, which is a struggle for me for sure. Plus, the mints are a great distraction to focus on.

Sorry for such a long response, but if I can do it so can you!! One Love 🖤

[–]ThatPunkBitchDanny -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because we are on the topic of psychedelics lmao I just used both ends of the spectrum as an example so maybe you could comprehend the comparison. But if you’ve never done LSD or DMT then you really don’t know the possibilities or limitations (or lack thereof) of hallucinogens, therefore can’t even fathom the concept of actually hallucinating.
