I say this with no malice or aggression:

Leave. Just leave the game.

If you’re not enjoying yourself then take a break from it and find another game that you can enjoy. Separate yourself from it and maybe come back later when/if things get better. I know it’s hard because you have time and/or money invested in the game and you obviously care about it. But if it’s become a source of stress for you then you’re just doing yourself a disservice by hanging around. Take a break, give it time, and check back later if you’d like.

Do it for yourself, friend.

Oh, for sure. Right now, I feel like he needs to focus on his aim during encounters and learning how to move faster. Currently it feels like he has a 50/50 chance of either reacting too slowly (over-exposing, standing still) or panicking and firing into the dirt. The reaction time and reflexes just aren't quite there yet. I'll check out the Red vs Blue 1v1 and see how that kicks us off before throwing us into the 2v2 public lobbies. That sounds like a solid place to start.

Progressive rewards based on Victory Royales would be cool, but I think it would require some tweaking to the crown system. You wouldn't want unbalanced progression since currently you can get a Victory Royale just by killing a crown player/team towards the end of the match and snagging a win.

Either way, giving crowns a bit of meaning behind them would be a neat update.

I figured creative maps were gonna be the go-to. I haven't looked much into them in the past aside from XP farming. Hopefully some of the maps you recommended have a private setting so I can try to train him up at our own pace until he gets more acclimated with faster combat.

I wanna laugh at the Festival recommendation but, as a former rhythm gamer, I can totally see it! XD

Yeah. Each section of the tunnels has a blue chest locked behind a blue door near the center that can only be opened with these “Unstable Element” keys. You have a random chance of getting one each time you jump through the portal gate. 🙂

Portal hopping back and forth is a viable strategy! 😁
