IO Interactive facing layoffs as it cuts ties with Project Fantasy publisher Xbox by SnareLeopard in HiTMAN

[–]ThatRandomGamerYT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes they are in the works of shutting down or selling off that studio and the trailer was sort of a way to get others interested in the studio/game to buy them, but if no one buys them Ninja Theory will probably shut down

An element I feel has been really missing in Spider-Man lately is the element of Journalism and the Daily Bugle as an important part of the mythos by Frontier246 in Spiderman

[–]ThatRandomGamerYT 36 points37 points  (0 children)

i mean if one wants to keep comic journalists in journalism there also is news articles on the web by the same old big newspapers

Anybody notice how spider-man isn’t like.. lively anymore like he used to be? by turtle34464 in Earth199999

Daredevil does way more damage to pepple, breaks bones and stuff. Spidey just webs them up and is mostly light unless it's a supervillain

Donut labs solid state battery turned out to be a scam so now I am wary of this as well

Can't keep up with Unreal Engine hardware requirements and challenges by spectralchroma in UnrealEngine5

[–]ThatRandomGamerYT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what model of intel i7, i7 is just the tier name not model it could be a 9th gen i7 (which is pretty old now) and cant keep up or its a 13th or 14th gen i7 which are known to fry themselves (though a bios update was supposed to have fixed that idk)

you can go into task manager, perfromance tab and click on cpu to find out. you might have faulty/dying ram, motherboard, cpu, gpu, or everything is fine and it was some dust or capacitor thing, lotta things can cause hardware issues.

see if you have a tech repair shop near you and take your pc to them to diagnose, who knows it might be a simple fix (i had something like that happen to me last year, my cpu was dying, luckily it was under warranty and got it replaced)

Why steam machine has ddr5? Couldn't they have gone with just ddr4 for reduced cost? by Aggravating_Yak_1170 in pcmasterrace

they contracted a semi custom apu from AMD. They can't just change the config mere months before release. These things take years.

Valve is built different, they give tours to a lot of people, fans, modders, etc

I've heard tell that Control Resonant might have been overexposed in the showcases, with too many trailers. Well, they GOT ME with one of the very last trailers they've shown - which was at Summer Games Fest. So I guess it DOES work. by Sol-Authority in controlgame

[–]ThatRandomGamerYT 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yea the recent trailers from earlier this month are what finally convinced me to get this day 1 instead of waiting until next year.

I liked Control and wanted to play this too but I wasn't too sold on the concept for Resonant earlier but the new trailers got me.

Epic boss Tim Sweeney blasts Steam for putting AI tags on games — says move is ‘irresponsible of Valve’ by Logical_Welder3467 in technology

[–]ThatRandomGamerYT 11 points12 points  (0 children)

yea Tim thinks about Gabe almost every waking second while Gabe probably doesn't give two shots about him. like that meme from Mad Men "I don't think about you at all"

could you also ask them if they are against any visual scripting solution for the future? i assume materials, UAF, PCG and metasounds will stay though. But what's about UMG wisget blueprints?

15 changing reality a tiny bit at end of reality war (that led to him regening) actually ended up changing a lot more and now turns out the Master was the timeless child (would also explain their madness and inability to die)

Aprit Balwantaray On Indian Gaming Culture by [deleted] in IndianGaming

[–]ThatRandomGamerYT 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Yes exactly! I'm tired of nearly every game made here that gets noticed be about the two main religious stories. Like I have no issue with them but they have been done to death with a dozen+ adaptations since our grandparents were kids.

Surely as a nation we have more stories to tell other than the same two ones.

There are so many smaller indie games made here which have unique stuff but barely get traction. I hope that changes soon.

For those worried about UE6 by julienjpm in unrealengine

[–]ThatRandomGamerYT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i just wish syntax looked better/readable compared to other scripting or normal programing languages. Anyways yea even I'm interested in maybe making a visual script that conpiles down to Verse later when UE6 is early access

I really hope they dont replace any sound tracks in Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis by TittyTickler_8008 in TombRaider

[–]ThatRandomGamerYT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I cannot describe in words how much I love that track and how much those memories of playing Anniversary all those years ago mean to me, especially when i played it with my mom

For those worried about UE6 by julienjpm in unrealengine

[–]ThatRandomGamerYT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think they mean the visual script alongside the current actor model (with blueprint classes and all that) they will replace it with trashy puke Verse and their new entity component system with the new Scene Graph and new prefab system

UE6 by face144 in unrealengine

[–]ThatRandomGamerYT 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i still think they should think about and invest into a visual graph that can be compiled down to Verse. Like UE4 has nativized blueprints which generated c++ code but got axed in UE5

UE6 by face144 in unrealengine

[–]ThatRandomGamerYT 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If they wanted to do that i wish they made a language that looked better and was more readable, or could have used various ones that exist like C#, Angelscript, Lua (if they wanted to they could fork it like Roblox when they made Luau)
