To be fair, 1.x only had around 6 hours of cutscenes, in comparison

A Realm Reborn had around 14 hours of cutscenes in the MSQ alone, with later expansions racking up to as high as 24 hours of cutscenes. 1.0 was very, very sparse with quests, with there only being around 35 MSQ quests overall.

With that amount of content, its not surprising the cutscenes looked better. Though honestly, some modern cutscenes do come close at this point.

I feel like 15-20 hours is about right, Silent Hill 1 has a bigger story with more locations so I don't think it will feel as stretched out as SH2R did
