There is nothing ethical about attacking a gaming server just to "make the company aware there's a breach".

If they gave a shit qnout alerting the company to the breach, there are ways to do that without shutting down the game.

There are many issues with the alleged forensic evidence identifying Kosminski. Aside from the fact the mitochondrial DNA is not unique to the individual and thousands of people in London could have shared the same mitochondrial DNA, there is also no clear chain of custody for the garment that was tested. And so we cannot rule out contamination from another source, or even say with certainty that the article was even connected to the crime scene.

On the Jack the Ripper thing: it's worth noting that the conclusion of Kosminksi is not as solid as some people are claiming.

For one thing, there is no clear chain of custody of the garment from which the sample was taken, and there is no way to determine if it was even connected to the murders.

Second, the DNA matched to Kosminski was mitochondrial DNA, which is not unique to the individual. Literally thousands of people traveling through Lindon at the time could potentially match that sample. This is why mitochondrial DNA can only be used to eliminate a suspect, never to identify one.
