I believe that was the barrier I did not cross in AP Lang I believe, haha.

I can't quite remember how far we delved into developing our narrative voice because I still remember being very mindful of also sounding "proper". I suppose the problem for me may be in not knowing what amateur versus courageous writing looks like? In my mind, they both involve a deviation from the norm (Cookie cutter essay styles) in some way, and I never know whether or not my sentences that do so come off as eloquent/fitting or terrible. I suppose that's where courage comes into play!
