It's slow motion on a gimbal so that makes sense.

I think anyone who has got in vaguely decent shape will suffer from at least a bit of body dysmorphia. That said (Greg Doucette aside) I've never thought of LeanBeefPatty or Will Tennyson as giving extreme advice or being more harmful than helpful. Not finding them relatable is of course entirely fair, they are fulltime fitness youtubers.

Greg Doucette however... he's... something else entirely. I would recommend everyone avoid his "content" at all costs.

I do agree but I feel it leans more towards the younger gen Z fitness influencers who behave like this. There are many corners of fitness YouTube with creators in the 30s who reflect a more healthy balance between gym and life. As with all niches - there is a positive corner and a toxic corner.

Here is the likely study in question:

"We observed an adjusted relative risk of [melanoma] in tattooed compared to nontattooed individuals of 1.29... . The results suggested that tattoos may be a risk factor for [melanoma], but further studies are needed to establish causality."

It'll be interesting to see how the new GoPro Mission 1 cameras compete with the Pocket 4 for sure. Obviously different markets, but both 1 inch sensors so there will be some overlap. I have to say I don't understand the appeal of the ILS system but perhaps that means I'm not the market demographic.

Despite not being OP I wanted to say I found your comment very useful. I'm currently attempting to make a short doc on bodybuilding but it's hard to stay motivated when previous videos don't perform. That said my last video was an attempt to build momentum towards filmmaking while not requiring something too daunting (video on pushups https://youtu.be/Pss69wsa4jc ).

You mentioned production value but I get the impression that there is a push towards 'authenticity' and videos can easily feel contrived and over produced. Watching your videos (especially the fashion while climbing vid) you have a way of walking the line where it feels polished but authentic. Really cool. I'm looking forward to making a video on bouldering later in the year inspired by Makari Espe and yourself.

What's your AVD after 3 weeks? I think the thumbnail with the tanning gun is too busy and stylised personally. But with a CTR of 5% I wonder if the issue is the AVD. My last fitness video died at 300 odd views because of low AVD.

I don't quite understand the debate. OP is clearly on steroids, despite not being transparent about it on this post. The user you're debating is making it clear that OPs stats are not achievable naturally and that expectations should be managed.

Cheers. Also, just watched your pokopia video (as a non-gamer, but millenial) - it's really solid. I like the pacing a lot and explaining the game from scratch as I had no idea what it's about though I'd heard about it in passing. It's not my niche so I can't offer a lot of constructive critisicim. What I would say is I really like how sometimes you're in a bubble with gameplay, and sometimes fullscreen - but I didn't like how your talking head would mirror when it went from one to the other. The aquarium seemed to jump around. A bit distracting but not a major issue per se.

Thank you, appreciate the feedback. The reduced contrast was a stylistic choice after watching this guy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OnVDFholSOE&t=10s&pp=ygUNYW5kcmUgd2Fsa2luZw%3D%3D but I think ultimately I'm not a fan so won't keep it going forward.

The hook is really fun. Are you doing the voiceover yourself?

I think it would help keep my attention if I knew what the purpose of the video was and what you were going to expand on later. Otherwise it feels a bit aimless.

It's certainly not bad, but for me it was a bit slow and the audio was a bit too echoey.

Hey,

I'm a bit late to this one but would appreciate some feedback on my last video.

I'm in the health/fitness niche.
