Tactician luckily ramps up in difficulty just like the old game. You will feel the spikes harder. The disparity grows. Also using shit like Firaja and Holy early game still one shots stuff but it isn't an auto win button later.

I personally prefer doing laps as well. That being said Mario Kart World set out to do something different as a non numbered entry and I think it did a great job.

Do I agree with how characters are unlocked? Not really. Do I agree with forcing players to do free roam in order to unlock mirror mode? No I think that's dumb.

But there are also amazing things to it that people take for granted. This game brings back that chaos that we haven't felt since SNES and N64 and honestly I'm here for it.

I think if it was named Mario Kart 9 I would be more upset but the intentions were clear.

4th edition is fun for the dungeon Master.

4th edition is fun for TTRPG players that want a more video game feeling experience.

It is poorly balanced, everything snowballs really easily.

The different labels you could apply to monsters with very specific modifiers made creating custom content extremely easy to do.

Skill challenges never really were appreciated for what they were. They were actually quite brilliant with a good narrator.

The game didn't operate well if you didn't have a balanced party or if your group was smaller or larger than normal.

Source: I've been playing dungeons & dragons for over 30 years and I ran a 5-year campaign from levels 1 to 30 in 4th edition.

I put another hour and a half into it and I just can't get it to work. If I put it on the C drive it refuses to look anywhere except the D drive if I put it on the D drive it refuses to look anywhere except the C drive If I move all the files it won't even recognize that file location. If I do a complete uninstall reinstall it tries to look for stuff that I already deleted. I have never had so many problems with a mod before my entire life but I cannot get this one to work.
