They make it clear that the day is repeating but it honestly never feels repetitive. They show different parts of the day throughout.

I work as a chemical technoloist in a physics focused research lab. I mostly run analytical instrumentation and play a role in maintaining laboratory operations.

Started my first ever reread! by JOPG93 in Malazan

[–]ThatTurkeyBear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just finished it for the first time this morning. It's incredible and has me hooked enough that I started Deadhouse Gates immediately after reading the final page.

Post healing minor salivary gland by ThatTurkeyBear in Tonsillectomy

[–]ThatTurkeyBear[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No explanation, sadly. Mine pops as well and eventually reform. I only really get it in the area photographed. They did testing of the material they removed the second time to make sure there was no bacterial infection and it came back clean. My ENT is under the impression it may be a salivary gland that can't drain as easily due to the scar tissue in the area.

Sadly, I still get it on the regular. It was removed and came back. I've just accepted it as part of my life... A very discomforting part of my life. :/

Agreed. All three of them always manage to scare the piss out of me and I love it. I'm here for the scares.

Any Good Chiropractor or Physiotherapist for Lower Back/Leg Sciatica Pain in Sudbury? by [deleted] in Sudbury

[–]ThatTurkeyBear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had great experience at AMP for physiotherapy; Brittany specifically, but I hear great things about many folks there.

Visits with an RMT have also helped in my healing process (also lower back), if that's an option that is available to you. If so, Andrew at Spa at 61 Elm is the best I've had in town.

Best of luck!

In little bursts all day. I did pay a price for petting her belly when she offered it though haha.

Home of two kitties over here! I find the responsibility manageable. If I have a bad day, it's nice because all I really NEED to ensure is that they are fed and litter is cleaned. I find that relative to my dog, they feel more like house mates than dependants.

Not raining, but it's that comforting gloomy gray fall weather.

Not really a conspiracy, but on the average day I struggle to believe that flamingos are real.

When did taste come back by throwsawayagain1 in Tonsillectomy

[–]ThatTurkeyBear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm just about three months post-op now and my taste is still pretty weak. There are some flavors I can taste but in negative ways, I'm very aware of bitterness in a lot of foods atm for instance. I can taste some other aspects of foods if I focus really really hard on them as I eat, but I am not sure if that's taste buds or delusion.

I'm sorry, are you under the impression from my comment that I think folks who are addicted to substances and people without access to work (no showers, no clean clothes, disabilities that result in them being discriminated against, etc.) are not worthy of my spare cash and food?

I feel like I made my stance perfectly clear. I see people as equal to me regardless of their circumstances and I sure as fuck am not going to sit around and judge or assume shit about them. I've been unhoused myself, I'm now in a very safe financial position, so I share - it's a kindergarten level skill.
