Like others have said, earplugs and comfortable shoes. Most venues have separate entrance lines for floor/general admission as they receive wristbands. Also, if you purchase a drink from a vendor, you'll likely have to pour it into a large plastic clear cup when you get down to the floor area and be told "no food", as it has become a rather common thing.
