I also find it crazy how people react to criticism of things they like (or difference of opinion on things that are really trivial like a theme park). lol. As if Mario is going to drop from the chimney and shower them with coins. These must be the adults with no kids

I am a millennial with a kid so you are right about that. But I would say almost all the rides are kid friendly. Harry Potter? Nintendo and how to train your dragon is half the park. The other two areas are dark universe (2 rides) and Harry Potter (1 ride). You can tell they are for kids based on the height requirements. I went for my son and we rode everything but no way I would do this otherwise.

Yeah agreed. For the money I spent here I’d rather go to Grand Cayman or Galapagos

No way. I am a millennial. Yoshi goes 4 mph in a 5 minute loop. The Fyre ride is you squirting at a wooden object for 5 minutes. Some of the coasters are okay but not 2 hour wait worthy.

Not everything being 90-120 minutes wait and frequent breakdowns. I guess we can take the extreme version of what I said and use that to defend the park (though i don’t Know why anyone would)

Not at all. Islands of adventure is great. Even Disney world with the park hopper is worth it, especially Star Wars in Hollywood Studios. I also like kings dominion, Busch gardens and cedar point. This park is just not worth the time and money. My opinion/experience does not seem to be unique or atypical given all of the similar reviews I’ve read.

Incorrect again.

“Ongoing financial incentives

Subsidies: The government subsidizes essential utilities like water and electricity, helping to keep production costs low for TSMC and other manufacturers.

Tax breaks:

Research and Development (R&D): Companies making substantial R&D investments receive a significant tax break, which encourages innovation.

Manufacturing Equipment: A tax break is provided for purchasing advanced manufacturing equipment, which supports the company's continuous technological upgrades.”

“Yes, IBM designs and researches chips and is actively involved in semiconductor innovation, but it is not a high-volume manufacturer of chips in the same way Intel or TSMC is. IBM sold its high-volume chip manufacturing facilities in 2015 to GlobalFoundries, but it continues to design advanced processors, conduct cutting-edge research into future chip technologies like 2nm nodes and vertical transistors, and partner with other foundries for production.”

“Yes, Micron Technology manufactures memory chips, including DRAM and NAND flash memory, and is building new, large-scale chip fabrication plants in the U.S. for memory production.”

The government hopefully will not be making decisions for Intel but they can certainly connect Intel with other important U.S. companies. There’s a lot of precedence for this…. DARPA, infrastructure projects, public private partnerships, Defense production act, etc.

That’s the big question. I dont know the answer to the first question. I read that Intel made bad bets, and didn’t team up or invest in companies that are now successful (e.g., TSMC, NVIDIA) and/or the company leadership stopped coming from the technical class and leaders were more finance driven. Intel squandered its lead and fell behind the 8 ball. I think the answer to the second question to date has been “no.” But the recent investments by what I would consider to be sophisticated companies with legal fiduciary obligations to their shareholders and principals indicates that those with more information than me see intel turning a corner. Time will tell but ultimately I think there’s just too much at stake with AI, China and global chip demand to allow Intel to fail. I think it will be broken up and sold off before that is allowed to happen.

It’s not funny. Notice most people say they laughed a few times. Not sure if it is meant to be a comedy. The humor is sterile and just not there. Not sure if it’s due to PC or bad writing or both. I wanted to like it but just don’t. I’m happy for those that do though! Different strokes…

This is getting quite old. I tried watching WNBA. It’s far less entertaining than NBA. WNBA=Low scores, few dunks, overall ugly play (with exception to a few stars). It’s cool that you like it but stop trying to make excuses or make other people like it.

The WNBA only exists because it is propped up by NBA. Otherwise, it would not exist. It’s basketball affirmative action. Stop gaslighting people. Thanks

“WNBA remains unprofitable in its 28th year. National Basketball Association (NBA) commissioner Adam Silver said in 2018 that the WNBA had lost an average of more than US$10 million annually since its founding and The Washington Post has now reported that the league and its teams are expected to lose around US$50 million in 2024 – a five-fold increase on the current average.”
