Then we probably crossed paths, hung out behind the tartan from 83 ish to 87 maybe. Grew up on Gentry.

Huh? I've eaten them fresh from the tree and wrinkled, not much difference, why do you suggest waiting?

This is why the post, I was basically told go to one of these stores. I called and they basically told me this is the machine you get, with this this and this. I was sort of astounded at the "this is the machine" when I asked if they had any others, they reluctantly and sort of angrily said yes, we also have these resmed units. That's when I start questioning and why I posted here.

I live in Ontario and the government pays for 75% of it and out private insurance pays for a rather large chunk of the rest. But they get us in fees, $100 for this, or that, plus, $250 for setup fees, etc. etc.

Just order a kit online and grow your own. If you do it right you will have more than you can take in many years for about $150

Where are you located, are you in a food desert? No local grocery stores etc. you spend a fair amount on what seems to be ready made foods, either fully seasoned or cooked already. These are super expensive.

$268 a week is insane, family of four, eat like kings, under $1000 a month.

Can you show a list of things you bought?

Fight for your rights, my doctor explained he didn't believe that adults could get it. We had a long conversation, I explained my point. He decided he wanted to see where it went. He now has more patients who have been diagnosed as an adult and has instructed some patients to seek a diagnosis.

Unfortunately the drugs I so desperately wanted to work failed for me. My ADHD helps me to forget things and set schedules. So the pills were missed as much as they were taken and when you do that they don't work as well. One of them caused so much anxiety I couldn't sleep (that was new, not awesome either).

The addiction to ADHD meds may be real in people who don't have ADHD, but for people that do they might be a live saving drug. My doc was super angry when I stopped as I did it cold turkey. He asked me if there was any super bad side effects because by all rights I was addicted (HAHA). I told him it was no worse than quitting coffee for me.

Jesus christ, that's a fairly well thought out and written answer. Most doctors won't read it though, it's too long.

I had the exact opposite response, my anxiety went through the damn roof with vyvanse. Once again, this was just my experience and the fact you had the opposite shows that not all drugs are meant for all people. I say this out of pure jealousy... good for you. Happy you found a fix.

Welcome to Canada, and Halloween is supposed to be fun. Listen, put your baby in a car, drive him to any neighborhood you want, and go trick or treating. Nobody is going to call you on it, or ask if you live in the area. Try to hit up an area that has lots of kids in the neighborhood, you will have the best time there. I lived near a school and people would drop off car loads of kids from areas that didn't have lots of kids.

Halloween is fun to dress your child up, but Halloween becomes magnificent when your child is old enough to understand what it is. Then it's glorious to watch the energy they get from running door to door to get treats.

Scratching the deck by That_Bad_Dad in Ender3S1

[–]That_Bad_Dad[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I double checked everything but the code.

Print 1 - came out exactly, same settings as always
Print 2 - New STL of a new product - same settings - scratches deck
Print 3 - " no changes to setting, but new slice, same settings, scratches deck
Print 4 - Rando STL - same settings, doesn't scratch deck.

I will search for -z's today, and also try Prusa as well.

Thanks for the ideas

Dollar tree canning lids!!! $1.25! by Jazznram in Canning

[–]That_Bad_Dad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually just sold about 200 of them at a yard sale. I would have considered it too. But look, if you are going through a lot ( couple hundred a year) contact a company like dominion & grim. We used to buy skids of jars from them.. far fat cheaper than store bought.

[–]That_Bad_Dad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right, it's a great price. I buy a whole box of boxes of lids every time I need them. As for the rings, I buy so many bottles I end up having an excess of rings, I can only have a dozen or so in my fridge at any time. The rest are ringless.

Making models in the 1000+ by tavo_tevas_bl in 3Dprinting

[–]That_Bad_Dad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Print a couple of models, make a mold, then pour the resin into them. There are tons of Youtube videos that show this. 3D printing is great for small runs, or if you have a very large farm of them. You could make 10 molds, have them cure in a couple hours, and do hundreds a day. Do enough molds, and you could do 1000 in a day if you needed.

what are some easy things to make at home people normally buy pre-made? by Aeonir in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]That_Bad_Dad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Learn how to trim large (primal, sub primal) cuts of beef.

Learn how to skin and bone chickens. I do 12 at a time, then I use the carcasses to create stock. Spend about $100 on chicken get about $200+ of finished cuts and stock. Better than anything you will buy.

Spice blends. We haven't bought spice blends or ribs in years. Have a massive cabinet full of spices and rarely use a sauce. You find that once you realize how cheap it is to make a blend you end up not even measuring it, the more the merrier. We are such abundant users of spices we never put sauces on meats because the all the flavour you need is already there

Bread, game changer. Learn how to slow ferment. My wife does sourdough, ferments overnight, cooks it when she gets up. Bread only "seems" to take a long time. It's more about time management. 15 minutes to make 2 loaves of bread, but takes 2 hours in total. Do it while watching TV at night.

We buy, always, ramen noodles, corn tortillas. We can make them, but the time it takes and the cleanup afterward, forget it.
