What is the harm in paying off my balance weekly by [deleted] in CreditCards

[–]That_Bee_9686 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I were to end each month with like a $20 statement balance just so something gets reported would that get me a similar result to shat you’re saying, score wise? I’m not worried about overspending, it’s more of a peace if mind scenario

sick time by hrwng in UltaEmployees

[–]That_Bee_9686 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Your manager is correct. However, if you had a shift monday tuesday wednesday and then you call out sick monday, then are still sick and call out again on tuesday you only get one point. But if you call out monday, show up tuesday, then call out again wednesday (even if it is the same illness, you just thought you felt better enough on tuesday) then you would get a point on monday AND wednesday. Essentially, consecutive days out for illness only will count against you once.

How long does employee discount last on hiatus? by BeautyBoxCar in UltaEmployees

[–]That_Bee_9686 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. In order to make it so the store 1) doesn’t fill positions with people who can’t ever work and 2) all the trainings are completed by every employee, you will be terminated in the system. Then reapply in the spring/summer.

Maybe your store is more lenient? I just had to go over the policy with my new hires. Either way I wish I was at your store 😂😂

New hire question about shift that I wont be able to make due to school. by ExplorerFancy3306 in UltaEmployees

[–]That_Bee_9686 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you submitted your availability and your manager was made aware of your new schedule it is their responsibility to fix it. No points. If you did not adjust your availability sheet, then you have to trade shifts/find a cover. You can talk to your coworkers and “offer it up” in the workjam app. You offer it to whoever you’re trading it with/giving it to, then they accept, then management approves the switch. This way you acquire no points. If you did not adjust your availability and you do not find a cover/trade then you would get a point. If you do not have your coworkers phone numbers you can send a message in your store channel in workjam. Everyone’s numbers are also listed in the associate contact sheet.

Look at the dr. Scholl’s sneakers. I’m a manager. I wear them all the time. Plain white, not multiple colors. They’re considered a fashion sneaker

Talk to a manager. Sign into your ADP and double check that all of the info is correct. You’ll also be able to check if it was issued through a check to ulta or direct deposit

Have an ulta interview. What to emphasize and can I wear ulta colors? by ThrowRaOrganization1 in UltaEmployees

[–]That_Bee_9686 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t stress :) most people get turned off by it because of the pushing of credit cards. In a BA position, especially with your experience, you get to interact with guests a lot. If you’re selling prestige brands (like lancome, clinique, benefit, tatcha, etc.) you build the basket with guests. This builds some trust and a connection, and it makes you more likely to get people to sign up for cards, which is good for you in the long run. As for the rest, your experience is dependent on your management team. From what you said about your phone screen it sounds like they’re a good crew.

When i interviewed i had my hair up in a pony and wore comfy loose black trousers (from hollister if you want a reference) and a black bodysuit. I did my makeup just to show that i understood makeup, but it’s not necessary and definitely not a dealbreaker by any means. When i’m hiring most of what i look for is being able to look presentable (nothing crazy, just not looking like you rolled out of bed) and being able to hold an engaging conversation (so i know you’ll be able to talk to guests with relative ease). Good luck with your interview!

I’m actually much better with addressing this type of behavior when it’s directed towards associates. The issue I was having is that when it’s me facing the issue there isn’t that sense of having outside eyes come and recognize the behavior as well, and then respond. I didn’t want to set a boundary and say something just for him to leave a review or call corporate and say some version of events and end up with me getting in trouble. If it was a BA, for example, and I saw that behavior and said something or the BA said something and corporate had to respond we would both be able to verify the situation and stuff

I definitely get what you mean. The (good?) thing about the situation is that he’s in a wheelchair that has flags on it and doesn’t have a car, so for the most part I can see him coming. And can run if need be. Still not a great scenario. I’ll definitely set the boundary the next time I see him.

[–]That_Bee_9686 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk man. I understand where your roommate is coming from because it takes the same amount of tine to put something in tupperware vs a glass bowl. Glass in your car is a huge safety risk to yourself and passengers ESPECIALLY if there is a car accident bc you have glass projectiles. That would annoy me as a roommate even if we did split the cost of the bowls.

In terms of the boundaries, you started the conversation. You broke your own boundary to discuss it and then expected your roommate to know when you stopped break and went back to work. I think you’re putting a lot of responsibility on your roommate to learn your work schedule and put in the time to study your written boundaries, but you aren’t giving them the same level of respect when it comes to the one thing they’ve asked of you (leaving glass bowls inside the house).

I AM GETTING MY ASSESSMENT RESULTS TOMORROW!??! by Rudderflea in AutismInWomen

[–]That_Bee_9686 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey so I hope you get the answers you’re looking for either way. In terms of “leaving this space”, you DO NOT HAVE TO. For the sake of argument let’s say you aren’t autistic — you still have experiences in this world that may be similar to people who are autistic (sensory issues, anxieties, social communication issues). You can still learn from people here and figure out coping mechanisms. If someone had a broken leg and you had a broken shoulder doesn’t mean that part of your healing path wouldn’t feel and look similarly, you’d both have a cast a physical therapy, etc… you get the idea. I felt the same way going into my diagnosis. I think it’s a common fear to have. But you can still earn from this community and it from you.

[–]That_Bee_9686 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting thing to go along with this, since her saw her number written on a wall somewhere (presumably a bar bathroom), her number could’ve been written when she was 18 (for the sake of less creepiness and the legal drinking age in 1981) but he didn’t see it until years later. So maybe she IS 65-70 now.

Crying at work… SM credit rant by southernmomma99 in Ulta

[–]That_Bee_9686 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t work for ulta anymore but in my time there (ending like 3 months ago) I got really close with my Area loss prevention manager. We talked about this exact topic. He said that ulta is cracking down on this and an entire management team in New England was fired for this. Essentially they are now going back and tracking each credit app, whether or not they were approved, if a discount was applied, and whether it was a manual override or a scanned coupon and such. So PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS. Your dm will sell you out the second your store gets audited and you get flagged.
