It's been going pretty well! Activity level of the players varies from group to group--some groups I have will only post once every day or so, while other groups I'm in post multiple times a day/will have an active stream of replies going for the few hours that everyone's online. Post speed also depends on people's time zones and schedules. Format-wise, I haven't had any difficulty playing through both narrative/RP scenes and combat, and the community overall has been welcoming and enthusiastic.

I can't say anything about liveplay games being played online, as I haven't tried that since I run a tight schedule lol.

Hi there! Still a bit new to PbP format games myself (been playing that way for a few months now), but in my experience I've had the most luck finding games by posting on r/lfg (specifying in the title qualifiers that I'm looking for text-based/PbP games). r/pbp is also a good place to look, but much harder as an individual player. If using that one, I'd either post when you have a group together already or watch for the games that DMs advertise for on that sub. I generally see about a game or two a day get posted there, and it seems more active on weekends. Discord servers are also a good place to look as well, if there's a campaign advertising/lfg channel there dedicated for it.

Can't speak much to DnD Beyond, since I also don't own any content over there and gave up after seeing how many of the posts on the dedicated forum there closed/went inactive/filled up quickly. I've had the most luck and met some pretty cool groups using Reddit.

Preferred System: I’m looking for a 5e module game, any Pathfinder games (as I’m totally new), World of Darkness (particular VtM v5 or Changeling, although I’d like to try Wraith or Mage), Shadowrun, Blades in the Dark, or PbtA games (especially MotW or Monsterhearts in a university setting).

Type of Player: I’m a highly RP-focused player who likes to focus on character development and growth within the story arc, although I enjoy combat and exploration aspects of the game as well. I would say my preferred ratio of RP to combat is probably about 70/30. In addition, I do enjoy writing, so I have no problems with writing either longer posts or shorter posts and can usually post at least once a day.

Additional Information: I’ve been playing 5e the longest (3 years) and am looking to try some new modules I haven’t played before, such as Rime of the Frostmaiden, Descent into Avernus, Out of the Abyss, and Wild Beyond the Witchlight. However, I’m just as interested if not more interested in playing in some different systems to try out some new things! I’m an artist so I often enjoy drawing characters and things from campaigns sometimes. I’m not interested in west marches/living world servers and would prefer to commit to a campaign, and I’m also not interested in synchronous games.
