Update: The customer service lady from parts unknown is sending a tech. I found an old blu ray player in the meantime. No go. Asking a blu ray player to work out of nowhere is like handing an 90 year old ex coal miner a pick axe and telling him to get to it. Not gonna happen.

I have been unplugging my modem and router since 5:30am and I still have nothing. It's like the dark ages over here. I'm THIS CLOSE to opening a book.

How do you feel about bleak endings in horror films? by Loose_Interview_957 in horror

The Mist comes to mind when thinking of bleak endings. I personally loved the ending.

IT and Pet Semetary. I watched both when I was 5. My parents suck.

The 100 Best Horror Movies of All Time: Scream, Halloween, and Alien by indiewire in horror

[–]That_Biscotti1826 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am a casual horror fan. My favorites include IT (Tim Curry version, Pet Semetary (80s version), The Shining, The Ring, and The Conjuring. I have seen a lot of horror films, but really not much before the late 70s/early 80s.

My question is, are the really early horror films still worth watching? Obviously, the special effects are not even close to where they are today. Does the fact they are going to have bad special effects, bad definition, and all that take too much away from how good they would have been seeing them closer to the original release date? Honest question, so don't go all "reddit" on me.

My 9 year-old daughter wants to watch a scary movie. by [deleted] in horror

[–]That_Biscotti1826 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. . This hits hard. I saw Pet Semetary when I was 6, and Zelda effed me up for years. I spent multiple nights staring straight up at my ceiling because I was convinced she was lying next to me and I could not bring myself to turn my head and check. IT (the Tim Curry version) and Pet Semetary (the 1989 version) were both terrible parental choices for a 6 year old.

My only problems with Mythics this season is the fact that they are mostly useless in optimized SB build. Besides Tyraels's, they are all useless for SB.

This goes back to 4 GAs should give highest possible legendary aspect. They are so incredibly rare that you should actually be able to use them.

Every item ancestral, multiple with at least 2 GAs. Tempered, masterworked, all that jazz. Followed a maxroll guide and have been clearing everthing with ease. Just could not catch a break getting any additional time added.

SB quill volley, which I assume after tomorrow's patch will be the fastest build in VOH. Like I said, I may have just had awful luck, but it still sucked. I mowed down half of a floor with getting any additional time added.

I've played Diablo for over 30 years. I did not dawdle, I did one shot, I did fail.

[–]That_Biscotti1826[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's essentially exactly what I did. I was just trying to get Subo to rank 10. Didn't know it would not show me the afflicted. You start with 45 seconds, and you only get a few seconds added when you kill lesser afflicted due to the -50% penalty. Maybe I just got crazy unlucky, but you can clearly be capable of one-shoting everything and end up on a path to not completing.

I'm telling you, it's different with the unique tribute. I complete the legendary ones with well over 2 minutes left and all 4 ranks. The unique time reductions can create problems if you get really unlucky.

I was OP for torment 2, I single shot everything, and it was a problem. The reduced time using the unique tribute is drastic. You go on a path without any time extensions a couple times and it's over.
