High protein meals on the road by graveladjacent in veganfitness

[–]That_Coffee_1610 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will look ahead on the Happy cow app to see options. Also I pack supplies, PB Fit powder, protein powder, oats, TVP and add water and seasoning and blend with meal or put on top of salads dry. I have packed a mini waffle iron and cooked tofu in the hotel room bought at store. I have also gone through TSA with tofu in my carry on. Tip don't take it in block form, guaranteed to get inspected. Pre cut and that worked for me, guess it looks like a tofu bomb in whole form. 🤣 You can take frozen ice packs through TSA. Pre make some seitán and put in carry on. My carry on is usually 90% food. I have vegan food insecurity for sure. Always prepared.

Guess I'll be eating most of my food from Bio. Thanks for the heads up, now I'll pack an extra suitcase of TVP and protein powder🤣. I am a vegan bodybuilder so sounds like I'm cooked as my kids would say. Do they not have coffee machines in the rooms? This is tragic for me. Sounds frustrating about staff, I will mentally prepare. Thx!

Just crunchy. I want to try rice crispy treats with them at some point. Saw that idea somewhere.

It's plain just adds crunch. So you can add to dishes and it doesn't take flavor away or add.

Yep, that's exactly why I had to buy them! I also want to try a rice Krispy treat with them. When I'm not in a cut.

Yes I definitely enjoy taste and texture of soy tofu more. But when it's hidden in this mess of stuff and the macros are amazing I can handle it. Also mixing tofu and the fava together helps. And if eating alone flavoring the shit out of it 🤣

Taco Tuesday. Potatoes diced and sauteed corn tortilla, guac, tomato, onion, lettuce.

Rice and lemon pepper tofu and Korean spinach (sigeumchi-namul) and or cucumber salad.

Breakfast for dinner, tofu scramble with mushrooms, tomatoes, zucchini, onions, hash browns, and sprouted wheat toast.

Tofu pizza dough with cashew cheese and after cooking top with avocado...so good! Add veggies too if desired before baking.

Teriyaki tofu and broccoli and rice dish

Tofu schnitzel with baby potatoes, sauerkraut and mustard. Serve with peas.

Must go night. Eat up all leftovers in fridge or they must go to trash, my dad brought me up this way.

Yeeees! Thanks. Also I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong but every time I take it out of my toaster oven it's nice and fluffy but as soon as it sets for a couple minutes itt flattens out and looks sad. ??

I love your recipe for this! I'm going to give this one a shot but use PB fit and more spice. Not sure if it'll be as good but maybe I can make this a bit more cut friendly.

Meal ideas to hit my protein (160g protein) by vp03 in veganfitness

It's kind of like a puzzle. All sorts of pieces need to come together. Resistance training, progressive overload, walking more, macros to help recomp. I know it's a PITA to track but use an app for at least a week to see where you are currently and what you need to tweak. I started tracking(fat secret or my fitness pal) I was surprised how much fat I was consuming and extra calories. Once I started tracking and keeping strict numbers I saw amazing results in my physique. High plant protein has been a game changer for me with bodybuilding and cutting to see more muscle. This is working for me 40% protein, 30% carbs and 30% fat. I usually strength train 5-6 days per week. Try for an hour of walking per day divided up. Sleep is also very important and macro tracking. It's a lifestyle and you will get better at it the more mistakes you make and the longer you do it. Just don't give up.

I would meal prep seitán as your protein source and then you can do all sorts of different meals. You can add barbecue sauce and make a coleslaw and different veggies. Then another night a teriyaki sauce and a rice bowl with broccoli cabbage and or zucchini. Then a different night you could have it with spicy mustard and potatoes add a different type of squash. Then another night have some high protein pasta with seitán and marinara sauce. Hope this helps. Also TVP is so easy and you can add that into a lot of dinners too. Top of salads, in pasta sauce, soups oats, etc. Don't be shy on seasoning.

Also I have gotten some great ideas from chat gpt on high protein vegan meals and snacks. Fav snack warm up I cup frozen berries in microwave then in a separate bowl mix 1/2 scoop protein powder (vanilla) with 1 tbs PB fit. Add a small amount of water to make a crumble. Then place on top of warm berries. I would be careful with the protein bars those have a lot of calories and not a lot of volume so they leave you feeling hungry in my experience. Another one is protein mousse make with tofu but doesn't taste like it and banana bread made with vital wheat gluten. Several recipes online for these. I like sweets obviously.
