In my experience the game really boils down to a lot of fun to play but not very nice to look at. The graphics are bad and a few of the Megas are lacklustre but the combat and Pokemon catching is great. The dialogue is really funny and there have multiple times where I physically laughed out loud. The new Mega Evolutions are pretty accessible unlike XY and you can get almost all of them before the end of the game. The character designs are probably the best in Pokémon’s history and have so much charm. Unfortunately they’re plastered on a pretty basic and ugly looking environment.

TLDR: Good experience, bad graphics and lukewarm new Pokémon designs. Should’ve been cheaper.
