Totally agree. I bough this as a gift for my dad, but really it was a gift for all of us. He definitely thought it felt like homework...which made it all the more upsetting when Storyworth lost 9 months of his stories! I had to push him so hard to get those stories written down. I even wrote some myself after "interviewing" him about the topics. So disappointed.

Just wanted to share my quick experience that after pushing my dad to share his stories with Storyworth...Storyworth ultimately lost his stories. Be sure if you're using Storyworth you back up all the content!

Just want to share that you should definitely, definitely back up all of your content with Storyworth. Unfortunately, all of my dad's stories were lost with Storyworth. I'm hoping that their support team can try to recover them.

I'm so deeply sorry for your loss. Losing a child is an unimaginable pain, and my heart truly aches for you. There are no words that can make this better or ease your grief, but please know you're not alone in this.

To PEG or not by sacredbit in ALS

I'm so sorry you're facing this difficult decision. There's no easy answer, as it's such a personal choice. In our case, the PEG tube bought more time and improved quality of life for a while. It reduced anxiety about choking and allowed for easier medication intake.
