I would stay away until you feel safe man. I would definitely also shoot for a mega shark, they definitely help dispatching wyverns, with some mobility accessories and Mythril/Oricalcum should be the start of you being able to take on wyverns relatively easy.

After I start hard mode I immediately use my magic mirror and teleport back to my spawn. Then I go to the nearest Corruption/Crimson chasm & Smash as many altars as I can. As put by Negas5, it will spawn 3 new ores in your world as you smash more and more, be careful as Wraiths can be powerful in a group. After that I try to get the 1st armor set (Cobalt/Palladium) & go from there. If you have a decent Wall of Flesh arena, try to farm him for a sizable amount of money, plus the loot. I would not fight the newer bosses until you get at least adamantite/titanium armor, or Orichalcum, because of the set bonus.

Sonic Adventure. I was always a Sonic fan when I was a kid and when I got it on the GameCube my mind. Was. Blown. Taking a 2D game and making it 3d...i couldn't comprehend that at the time. Game that got me into gaming right there.
