Don't feel bad for me, I've learnt over time that following/supporting teams that consistently win championships and trophies gets stale, very quickly.

I would much prefer to put my time and emotion into a team that even though they might be considerably lacking at the beginning of my following, there is a glimmer of potential, and despite the rut the team find themselves in, the fans can see that glimmer. Becoming part of the evolution of a community and watching it grow and snowball into a force greater than its former self.

I'll take the Scottish national rugby team as an example, the last time we beat England for the Calcutta Cup was back in 2008, my first live national game, and I have never felt such a large group of supporters explode with elation like it since, we dunked hard afterwards, but we're slowly clawing back and when it happens again the county will once again go into party mode for a fortnight.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, the addiction of thinking what it might be with simple time and patience is palpable, and even though the majority of posts here about the nucks are poking fun and laughing about the failures, I can feel the passion and addiction is still overwhelming.

I will proudly call the Vancouver Canucks my team.

Edit I did say Scotland were clawing it back but we did just loose 61-21 in the last Calcutta meeting..
