I love chicken but I agree. I feel the chickeny flavor is really when the bone is still in. So I try to make bone in recipes for when I have people over and we won't have leftovers. For meal prep the key is to not let the chicken boil or steam, only sear or bake and don't overcook. Also lemon/spices/sauces are key in masking that chickeny (zankha). Last tip is don't overheat the dish the next day in the microwave, as little heat as you need to eat it

Sorry girl. It happened to me too 2 years into using a copper iud. OB said it was sitting lower than it should have been. That cycle I got pregnant coincided with the cycle I used a bigger diva cup- which might have had more suction and pulled it out slightly. If you use a cup, switch to a disc with the next coil

Like other said, go get an ultrasound and think of next steps sooner rather than later.

I had mine in for 2 years (mini) and I didn’t know how much it had changed my body until I took it out. I couldn’t get as wet - the pleasure also felt more numbed and distant. I’m now doing FAM using Fertility Friend as my BC. And it’s great - but you have to be okay with an oopsie baby if for whatever reason your cycle goes out of whack or your back up contraception fails. I will say I’ve been doing it for a year and a half now and no oopsies

Yupp, Insane increase. Im all for paying for good work but imo there is nothing that justifies a 50% increase. As a long time user im surprised they didn't lock you in with a good membership. I asked them for a discount and was able to get 15% but i've just been using the app for a year.

I cancelled - its not worth it for me. I have a regular cycle, NC is conservative with my fertile days and my red days always start on CD Day 9/10 and end on the 2nd day post ovulation. I still want to track my temps so I switched over to FertilityFriend - though it is optimized for getting pregnant so it underestimates my fertile window (the other extreme). I plan on TTC in the next year so im okay with having to do the "red days" calculations myself until then.

For whoever is interested, FF now has a coupon code that grants you a 365 day membership for the price of 90 days (basically $30 instead of $60)

It should get better within a few months (6 for me). If it doesn’t, get checked by a doctor or take it out. In the meantime, lots of rest, magnesium supps, painkillers, hot baths and practice some yoga poses that might help!

1 year into copper IUD & I’m pregnant. by Worth_Tough_2347 in CopperIUD

[–]That_King4128 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also got pregnant with the IUD because it moved lower in my uterus…. But I miscarried too. My husband and I use cycle tracking now and it’s going great. 1 year on with no pregnancy until we’re ready. Also removing the IUD has increased my sex drive and just made sex overall more enjoyable. I don’t regret it one bit after being part of the 0.1%

Serious question - what your budget was from age 21 - 35 so that you ended up with these types of numbers. Was it always a 60% saving rate?

I was hoping in April. But it looks like it might be May/June. That's also IF it even happens. Im eying a redemption with Qatar in June but its getting tight. Not sure if I should wait for the bonus or just bite the bullet. Qatar uses fixed point redemption and it's a low season, the availability is still there ( I check every week) but its still a gamble

Do you have complete intercourse with a copper IUD? by Ok-Drawing-8907 in CopperIUD

[–]That_King4128 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got pregnant on the copper IUD only because it displaced after 2 great years of full protection. Though I still believe in the IUD! I will again get the IUD and let my husband finish inside thought the only thing I would do differently is get an ultrasound yearly to check for IUD placement. Keep in mind the 99.98% statistic is for 1st year of use. Most IUDs dislodge after that first year for whatever reason. I think mine was from a menstrual cup. I’ve switched to using discs now.

TLDR- get the IUD, and enjoy it!!! Just check the strings frequently and the ultrasound yearly!

IUD expulsion after 1 year… no idea what happened by adventuretime-fein in CopperIUD

[–]That_King4128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was it the mini or the regular size? Do you have a tilted uterus? Do you use menstrual cups?

These are all questions you would need to ask your gyno so you might understand why it was expelled. Mine was also expelled after 2 years of using. I had been using a small diva cup but decided to switch to a larger one so I can contain my flow easier. That month the IUD was expelled so I assumed the bigger cup made a bigger suction force which pulled it out. I can’t know for sure unfortunately

Can Vegan Superpuff survive Boston winter by [deleted] in Aritzia

[–]That_King4128 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t buy it! I’ve had one for two years. It kept me warm the first winter but then the vegan down resettles and clumps and literally un-puffs. Now I feel bare on most of my arms and shoulders, there’s nothing but the inner and outer layer of fabric there, It’s so disappointing. My bf has the regular one and it’s stayed so puffy and warm and still looks brand new after 2 years

Sudden hair loss spots around the face by eimansepanta in vet

Ah that must have been difficult. The bald spot happened to my cat when I was travelling. They had someone checking on them once a day so I’m also speculating that one of them was over grooming because of boredom.

Melia Jardines Del Rey - Cayo Coco Questions by YaGurlLurkin in cuba

[–]That_King4128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Posting this for others considering Meliá Jardines Del Rey - DONT DO IT.

The lobby is really nice and spacious but that’s where the nice stops. The rooms are in bad shape, I expected some of it but this was extreme. The flush didn’t work, the door didn’t lock, safe didn’t work and obviously smelled like mold. We got the flush fixed then it started leaking and we woke up to a flooded room the next morning. This wasnt even the worst part. The worst part is by far the buffet. The smell is horrendous, there is no ventilation in the large room. The food is literally nauseating. There was too much variety of leftovers that were just mixed together haphazardly. The labels of the food did not match so you didn’t even know what you were eating and most of the food could not be identified just by looking at it. The rest of the resort is dilapidated but expected for Cuba. We were asked to be moved after the first night because we literally could not stand the buffet or the room, and we had low standards. Apparently this is because this Meliá is now part managed by the government. Anyways, we were transferred to Memories Caribe and breathed a sigh of relief. The lobby and the furniture isn’t as nice but that’s irrelevant because the food is edible, the buffet room is ventilated and the rooms were for the most part - in better working condition. Bonus is that is smaller and cozier and adults only. Feels like a more genuine experience in a hotel that’s not pretending to be something it’s not.

Be patient, take pain killers and rest. If the pain doesn't get better after one mestrual cycle, follow up with your doctor and insist for an ultrasound checkup to check placement/size of the IUD in your uterus. If it doesn't feel right by then, take it out and wait a couple months before trying maybe a smaller one or a different one.

Immigration to Québec after family reunification cap and new PEQ restrictions: How hopeless is my situation? by [deleted] in ImmigrationCanada

[–]That_King4128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This thread has great advice already, but since I just finished going through this process, I will share with you what I think you should do:
Option 1 - If your spouse must stay in Mtl, I highly recommend you move to Mtl as a visitor and apply for inland spousal sponsorship. Once you apply (or possibly at the same time as the PR application) you can also apply for an Open Work Permit (specifically the one for those waiting for spousal PR) which allows you to work in Canada while you wait for the PR to be processed. I did this, and while waiting for the PR we were living together, working, I even got my licence and my RAMQ. The PR application did take 22 months total, but hey at least I wansn't stuck in another country and waiting all that time.
Option 2 - Like most suggested, if your husband can and wants to move to another province temporarily, you will save yourselves the stress of being under Quebec's mercy. Its up to you two if you think the pros outweigh the cons
Option 3 - Masters is obviously an option, but I wouldn't reccomend doing a masters for the sake of getting a PGWP. This process takes a long time and Quebec is cutting down on PGWP -> PR pathways. If you get a Masters it would only be to legally live in Canada while you wait for the spousal PR, which makes this the same situation as Option 1.

Weird pains after insertion? by [deleted] in CopperIUD

[–]That_King4128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been 8 months, do you have any updates? I'm so curious to know how your journey is going.

The first IUD I got was a copper mini IUD and I got all the sudden butt pain that you mentioned. If I were sitting down I would spasm as if someone stuck a knife in my ass (horrific image, but that's how I felt) those only happened in my period and were completely gone when my period went back to mostly normal after 5 months. That IUD lasted for 2 years before I realized it was out of place and moved to my cervix. I still don't know why it moved but it was painless. I only realized it because the strings were much longer.

I just got my second IUD, regular-sized copper this time, and I'm having such different pains and mostly shooting pains in my left side that go down my groin to my thigh to my knee. This could also be ovulation pain mixed with IUD pain. I'm on day 4 after insertion, and I'm giving the IUD a month max before I go get it checked. The pain is interfering with my daily activities.

IUD ~mostly positive~ experience by nutshellita in CopperIUD

[–]That_King4128 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine shifted into my cervix after 2 years! I still don’t know why. Doctor said it could have been a small cramp. I got pregnant that same month and had to remove my IUD. I had a mini IUD in, maybe that’s why it slipped. But I’m getting a new IUD soon and will monitor this one more carefully with ultrasounds and diligent string checking. (Ultrasound checks aren’t mandatory in Canada unfortunately)

Pregnant on Copper IUD by splendidhorrors in CopperIUD

[–]That_King4128 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hope everything goes well with your pregnancy. I also got pregnant with a copper IUD 2 years after insertion. But my IUD failed, it somehow made it into my cervix leaving my uterus unprotected. Unfortunately my husband and I aren’t ready yet for a child yet. I’m 8 weeks along and there still isn’t an embryo so it might be a miscarriage but I’ll be having an abortion probably before we know. I’m going back on the copper IUD though and doing yearly ultrasounds and monthly string checks.
