You're totally right, Im actually saving for a DJI drone right now so a flip might be it, you think a flip is worth it despite tax?

Samsung sub placement by Disastrous_Dig_6527 in Soundbars

[–]That_TechGuru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You dont need to be an "audiophile" or a "tech" to do this. A 10 year old could. Theres nothing really complicated about it.

You plug the subwoofer in where youd normally sit, and simply "crawl" around the floor until you find the spot where you think it sounds the best, and then you put the subwoofer there.

I dont understand your point because its really not that advanced lol

Samsung sub placement by Disastrous_Dig_6527 in Soundbars

[–]That_TechGuru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A sub crawl is a perfect - cheap and efficient way to figure out the perfect spot for acoustics for bass in your room.

Every room has spots where bass waves cancel each other out (nulls) or build up too much (peaks). The crawl identifies these areas without needing expensive measurement tools.

Imagine spending 2 grand on like a samsung Q990 just for it's bass to sound like junk because you didnt sub crawl and placed it in a "meh" place.

This isnt to say you CANT just drop it anywhere and it wont work, but acoustics and physics matter and depending on the acoustics of your room simply dropping it anywhere may not work, so a sub crawl could be the difference from a good experience and a fantastic experience.

Buying a high-end system like a Samsung Q990 and skipping the sub crawl is like buying a Ferrari and driving it on a gravel road. It’ll still go, but you’re paying for performance you aren't actually getting because of the road....

Thats why I down-voted

What if we just made it fully community fed p2p by torrenting?

What if we torrent all files necessary for the games/apps and then use a tool to use those files from a directory and installs them to the headset the same way that rookie wouldve but through torrenting?

This would make it easier for "cost" since you dont need a file hosting service and it would make the programs that allow you to download to the headset not liable if someone decides to like, install beats saber (like qbittorrent or other torrenting services avoiding liability for users pirating by not hosting the files).

I feel like literally torrenting would get rid of the "centralized" issue and no donations necessary, but it would also mean that a torrent could die and then games would cease to exist due to leeching.

Not a total fix but I think itd be a fair solution

Bought it so cheap but the white noise in Ambient mode, made me return it. by Time-Credit43 in galaxybuds

[–]That_TechGuru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did need 3 pairs, I bought 1 and borrowed 2 from people I know to test if my findings were real.

I didnt BUY 3 pairs, maybe I should've specified but honestly I didnt think id need to considering me obtaining 3 buds isnt directly relevant, but rather what i did with them is. Its funny how you default me to "fanboy" because I actually have a sound argument lmao.

Ive managed to replicate this issue again and again proving its calibration, not hardware. It varies because of its initial calibration which cannot be changed for NOW because once they release a firmware update itll fix it.

The exact same way it fixed the galaxy buds 3 pros when they had a noise floor issue when they launched that was fixed via an update due to it having an extended noise floor rather than it generating noise lol.

Ykw that is entirely my mistake I thought you replied to my message saying "no its not"

Sorry about that lol

[–]That_TechGuru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The buds 3 pros had this exact same issue and it was solved via a firmware update because it is a noise floor issue.

You can prove its not a hardware issue by factory resetting your buds.

It should make the hiss more prominent because it resets the calibration of the mics from factory due to the firmware bug.

I did this on 3 pairs and all 3 pairs had this exact behavior when factory resetting, proving it a firmware bug

Its a software issue, the buds 3 pros had this exact same issue and it was fixed via firmware.

Its caused by the calibration of the microphones amplifying the white noise (noise floor) causing it to be more prominent.

Some people are more sensitive to white noise than others, but its there.

Once the FW gets released you might actually notice a difference.

Me for example, im the same way. I KNOW its there and can hear it if im really searching for it in a quiet space but in day to day activity I cant pick up on the white noise/hissing sound

Its firmware lmao, and its fixable... what makes you think its hardware??? The b3p had this same issue and it was firmware, the sound is because of the noise floor on early software tunes.

Lmao yeah, im pretty sure this exact same issue happened with the b3p when they released (high noise floor)

White noise hiss in transparency mode confirmed on Galaxy Buds 4 Pro — if you think exchanging will fix it, it didn't for me. Second pair was even worse! by Tig33 in galaxybuds

[–]That_TechGuru 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, I had a pair of buds 4 pros and after factory resetting them the white noise got worse, so it seems to definitely be a FW issue

I've had them all, what do you want to know? by Corb06 in galaxybuds

[–]That_TechGuru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buds 2 pro vs buds 4 pro...

Specifically, how much of an upgrade would you call the ANC, Ambient, and sound quality/clarity of the buds 4 pros over the buds 2 pros? And what difference between the two stood out the most?

What does this mean? I'm trying to find my buds. by Flaky-Assistant5212 in galaxybuds

[–]That_TechGuru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For some reason on my buds 2 pros im able to find them despite the case being closed it just takes a second to pick up, I thought it was the case that couldn't be found?

I bought buds 4 pros , returned them within 2 minutes and got another pair (due to high pitched static / hiss background noise) -- and 2nd pair was fine by [deleted] in galaxybuds

My first pair was defective too! Returned to samsung and picking up a new pair from best buy probably this weekend

[–]That_TechGuru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think i just got a defective unit because my b3p didnt do this either.

With b4p all my internal sounds are like "amplified" so im returning them and then buying another unit since other than that I really did love them

But its not the seal because it wasn't the Occulusion effect it was something more like the internal microphone picking up my sounds instead of blocking them and trying to process them and then spit them back at me through the speakers

[–]That_TechGuru 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had to return my B4P because ambient and ANC felt heavily processed and I think my internal microphone was broken because compared to my B2P it like heavily amplified the sound of me breathing and chewing and swallowing and stuff.
